Topical retinoids and ttc

I am not planning on ttc as such, but my coil "runs out" in may and I have decided to have it taken out and just seeing what happens. I have endometriosis and am 35 so not sure it will happen right away. I do however have a six year old dd who was a "happy accident" so I know I am fertile, but on the other hand that was 6 years ago and I have had surgery for endo since, and no periods since I had my mirena. Dp also spends half the week working in France, so we don't Drs that often, and the chance of him being here on a fertile day will be pot luck...

Anyway I digress. I use a topical retinoid (adapalene). When should I stop using it to make sure I am "safe". Not likely to be able to get to gp before I have my coil removal apt. (Demanding job - hard to take time off).

Anyone been given advice about this?

I.e when should I stop using the cream to make sure there is no detrimental effects on a potential pregnancy?

Hi,

I would suggest stopping it once your AF arrives. So stop it the cycle you consider TTC just to be on the safe side. If you continued to use it an past that an something went wrong you would only feel it was down to that. so just not worth it.
