Bit of a weird one.

Any chance an advanced clearblue opk could miss my surge?

I've been TTC for 18 months now, so am a bit of a veteran when it comes to this kind of thing. Normally use cheap opk strips but since I did a clearblue study, I've had some free advanced opks to use for the last 3 cycles. Each time I've had the low, high and peak indicators as per the instructions.

I normally ovulate CD14 (it's been delayed only twice and once was due to sickness and once due to a flight). CD14 is today and this morning I still had low on my opk...obviously thought it was unusual but have got on with my day. Now I'm sat here feeling my usual CD14 ovulation pain, it's definitely not wind or cramp...I'm 100% certain.

So yeah, anyone had experience of this?

Yes, me! Last month! I got 'high' readings for about nine days and was quite confused and stressed out by it, as I usually find the Clearblue OPKs quite straightforward. Apparently if you only test once a day it is entirely possible to miss the LH surge which gives you the 'peak'/static smiley.

I was a bit sceptical, but this month I started testing twice a day once I saw my first 'high' reading, and sure enough I got my 'peak' one evening, when that morning it had only said 'high'. I wonder if the same thing has happened with you?
