Name changed for this.
AF is over a week late ! Im eating like an absolute horse when i usually have no appetite at all and im getting on/off tummy ache but it doesn't feel like the usual AF symptoms which are quite strong Hmm
Im driving myself mad and not wanting to fork out £10 for a test if AF is going to show up in the next few days anyway
Im so confused Blush

Buy some of the of online cheapie test strips, they're a couple of pounds for two or three and will be with you in a couple of days.

I've tried those in the past and they didn't work at all Confused the lines never appeared according to the package they were duds and i don't have eBay/Amazon anymore to order things like that in

Go to a supermarket like Tesco and they have a pack of 2 pregnancy tests for around £5 or less.

All PTs are the same in the sense they test for exactly the same hormone.
Differences are in those ones that are much more sensitive and can pick up much lower levels of beta-HcG

Good luck!

I'll go to asda after work and see if they have any.
Im still confused though i had a MC last year and we stopped TTC after that so this has just come out of the blue and we've only DTD twice since my last AF about 5-6 weeks ago
We spent so long TTC before it seems crazy that it could have just happened by itself without trying

Just to add- Tescos worked fine for me in the past!

I have never paid out more than £3.50 or something for a double pack.
Normally I buy the Internet cheapies!

You can do one any time of day if AF is late, if you are, at a week late you should get an obvious BFP x

I drink a huge amount of water and pee a lot though so won't the hormones be weaker ? My fertility doctor told me to do them first thing on a morning because i drink so much
That was about 3 years ago though when we first started TTC

You can buy two tests for £1 in poundland/home bargains type places.

So you're over a week late but haven't done a test? That's a bit mad, surely that'd be the first thing to do. You don't have to "have" eBay or similar account to get cheap ones online, I ordered from an online pharmacy that required no log in and had them in two days. But I think I'd do a £3-10 test rather than driving myself mad for a week wondering about symptoms.

And if you're over a week late you can poas any time of day regardless, that only applies to when af is due or barely late.

I got some clear blues last night in tesco and did one before bed and it was negative Hmm so that's nearly 7 weeks with no AF for no reason apparently Confused I'm going to the doctors before work next week and waiting another week before doing this other test

I can see something but cb can sometimes get evaps. I've heard of a lot of positive looking tests that should have been negative with these tests.

How long between poas and taking the photo was it?

Report
blondehair · 18/03/2017 13:56

My test only showed one line for a couple of minutes, I had to go back to it to double check it before I was sure that I was. Even when the cross did appear, one line was definitely lighter than the other x

Sazwest · 18/03/2017 13:57

I'd try and get a test that's pink dye as blue are the worst for Evaps. Get your self a frer xx

Report
willitbe · 18/03/2017 14:20

Those clearblue tests are not good for testing with, try to get the pink two line tests.

Report
haveacupoftea · 18/03/2017 14:24

I can see a line but wouldnt trust a CB.

Report
booox · 18/03/2017 14:45

I think I see a line - I agree to try a pink line one. Sainsbury's are blue (but I found worked well). Asda were always good.

Hopefully the Dr can help when i go next week, my appointment isn't actually for this but im going to ask about it anyway and i don't have anymore spare cash for a FRER this month these clear blue ones have a tip that turns pink though

Hmmm after an hour I wouldn't trust it not to be an evap I'm afraid.

I hope you get a definite answer either way very soon!!

My BFP didn't show up on a Clear Blue but did on a Sainsburys and Superdrug - they're more sensitive I think. Fingers crossed!
