Name changed for this.
AF is over a week late ! Im eating like an absolute horse when i usually have no appetite at all and im getting on/off tummy ache but it doesn't feel like the usual AF symptoms which are quite strong hmm
Im driving myself mad and not wanting to fork out £10 for a test if AF is going to show up in the next few days anyway
Im so confused blush

Buy some of the of online cheapie test strips, they're a couple of pounds for two or three and will be with you in a couple of days.

Namechangernancy Fri 17-Mar-17 08:15:08

I've tried those in the past and they didn't work at all confused the lines never appeared according to the package they were duds and i don't have eBay/Amazon anymore to order things like that in

Ohb0llocks Fri 17-Mar-17 08:24:26

Asda tests.£3.50 for two.

booox Fri 17-Mar-17 08:25:20

Sainsbury's similar price and very effective.

Go to a supermarket like Tesco and they have a pack of 2 pregnancy tests for around £5 or less.

All PTs are the same in the sense they test for exactly the same hormone.
Differences are in those ones that are much more sensitive and can pick up much lower levels of beta-HcG

Good luck!

Namechangernancy Fri 17-Mar-17 08:28:05

I'll go to asda after work and see if they have any.
Im still confused though i had a MC last year and we stopped TTC after that so this has just come out of the blue and we've only DTD twice since my last AF about 5-6 weeks ago
We spent so long TTC before it seems crazy that it could have just happened by itself without trying

TurquoiseDress Fri 17-Mar-17 08:28:09

Just to add- Tescos worked fine for me in the past!

I have never paid out more than £3.50 or something for a double pack.
Normally I buy the Internet cheapies!

Namechangernancy Fri 17-Mar-17 08:52:55

I've only ever used clear blue after my bad luck with the internet ones I'll try the supermarket brand and do one tomorrow morning

Rikalaily Fri 17-Mar-17 09:42:32

You can do one any time of day if AF is late, if you are, at a week late you should get an obvious BFP x

Namechangernancy Fri 17-Mar-17 10:54:53

I drink a huge amount of water and pee a lot though so won't the hormones be weaker ? My fertility doctor told me to do them first thing on a morning because i drink so much
That was about 3 years ago though when we first started TTC

Namechangernancy Fri 17-Mar-17 10:56:12

Either its a very lucky BFP of AF is fucking around with my mind and body again
Ive literally never eaten so much food in my life though and DP said last night that my stomach looks slightly bigger and its sticking out more than usual confused

ShowOfHands Fri 17-Mar-17 10:56:57

You can buy two tests for £1 in poundland/home bargains type places.

Foggymist Fri 17-Mar-17 12:38:46

So you're over a week late but haven't done a test? That's a bit mad, surely that'd be the first thing to do. You don't have to "have" eBay or similar account to get cheap ones online, I ordered from an online pharmacy that required no log in and had them in two days. But I think I'd do a £3-10 test rather than driving myself mad for a week wondering about symptoms.

Foggymist Fri 17-Mar-17 12:40:43

And if you're over a week late you can poas any time of day regardless, that only applies to when af is due or barely late.

Namechangernancy Sat 18-Mar-17 10:21:10

I got some clear blues last night in tesco and did one before bed and it was negative hmm so that's nearly 7 weeks with no AF for no reason apparently confused I'm going to the doctors before work next week and waiting another week before doing this other test

Namechangernancy Sat 18-Mar-17 13:52:01

DP says he can see a + but i can't can anyone else ? I was really sick nauseous today to i cant even eat anything or drink a cup of tea without wanting to throw up
All ive managed all day is a glass of oj for breakfast

TipTop333 Sat 18-Mar-17 13:53:35

I can see something but cb can sometimes get evaps. I've heard of a lot of positive looking tests that should have been negative with these tests.

How long between poas and taking the photo was it?

blondehair Sat 18-Mar-17 13:56:03

My test only showed one line for a couple of minutes, I had to go back to it to double check it before I was sure that I was. Even when the cross did appear, one line was definitely lighter than the other x

Sazwest Sat 18-Mar-17 13:57:08

I'd try and get a test that's pink dye as blue are the worst for Evaps. Get your self a frer xx

willitbe Sat 18-Mar-17 14:20:59

Those clearblue tests are not good for testing with, try to get the pink two line tests.

haveacupoftea Sat 18-Mar-17 14:24:45

I can see a line but wouldnt trust a CB.

booox Sat 18-Mar-17 14:45:31

I think I see a line - I agree to try a pink line one. Sainsbury's are blue (but I found worked well). Asda were always good.

Namechangernancy Sat 18-Mar-17 15:34:52

I thought clearblue were the most reliable hence the price confused and i took that pic last night about an hour after taking the test im doing another test tomorrow with FMU i just want a definite answer envy fed up and i feel rubbish I've never wanted AF to actually show herself so much in my life !! Hopefully the Dr can help when i go next week, my appointment isn't actually for this but im going to ask about it anyway and i don't have anymore spare cash for a FRER this month these clear blue ones have a tip that turns pink though

TipTop333 Sat 18-Mar-17 15:44:45

Hmmm after an hour I wouldn't trust it not to be an evap I'm afraid.

I hope you get a definite answer either way very soon!!
