Can folic acid give metallic taste

I'm possibly pregnant but too early to test. Takeoff folic acid for just over a week and my mouth tastes like I've a penny in my mouth. It's ruining my food. Bacon butty tasted like I was eating salt

I wouldn't have thought it was the folic acid (could be wrong!!) but I still have the taste at 15 weeks pregnant! Can't wait for it to go!!

Hi Bumpy, when are you going to test? I'm due AF this Sunday, and since yesterday I've had the most horrible metallic taste as well! I ate a chicken salad today and it tasted like egg?! I often get a metallic taste but not this bad and its never constant. I can't get rid of it! I've been taking folic acid since trying to conceive last year, so I don't think that would be the cause (could be wrong!)
Keep us updated. I'd love to know if it turns into a BFP!

Ooooooo fingers crossed !! I had this and knew I was pregnant !! Did my test and sure enough big fat lines and a digital! Am now 20 weeks xxx
