Bit of background:

Erpc for mmc at 9 wks in October
Mc / chemical pregnancy ( hate that term) in December

Age 42

I've been having a week long LH surge every month. Strong positive on OPK every day. What is my stupid body doing? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had posted on the miscarriage board but it's very quiet over there

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your MC, I dont suppose you tracked with opks the months you did get pregnant? or are you sure this week long surge is a new thing?

i can think of few possibilities, either your struggling to ovulate
you could be ovulating twice within a few days
or the tests are too sensitive for your natural LH levels, do you get equal lines all the time or do you get a stronger test line?

Hi, thanks for responding. Before the miscarriages I would get positive opk's for two days. I've always used internet cheapies or boots own brand sticks. Since the miscarriages I've been getting a week of strong positives each month. The test line starts off the same as the control line for a couple of days then it's darker & bolder than the control line for 4 or 5 days. No wonder I can't get pregnant

Has anyone else on here experienced this and got any explanation?

Obviously not!

Could it just be that it's taking longer for you to ovulate? Maybe try the CB dual opk as it measures how your hormones rise too?

Thank you, will look into that
