Advice needed! I'm new to all this....

Hello lovely ladies... I'm quite new to this site and you all seem very helpful do wondering if I could pick your brains....


I had my Mirena coil removed on the 30th Jan after having it for 4 years and had a couple of days of light bleeding following the removal as expected. I have not had a period the whole time it was in. I have been monitoring to see when I ovulate and had two positive ovulation tests on 17th and 18th Feb. Me and my partner had unprotected sex on 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th. For the last few days I have had very tender breasts and some slight cramping/pain/bloating. So my questions are:

1.When should I take a pregnancy test as I don't know when my period will be due after not having one for years?

1. Could my symptoms just be my body getting back to normal after the coil or are they more likely to be early pregnancy symptoms? Its been so long since I had a period that I can't remember how I felt before a period!

I would aim to test 2 weeks after you DTD, so 5th march. That way you're likely to get an accurate result. Good luck x

The symptoms of early pregnancy are often the same as pmt, so I wouldn't put much stock in them sorry... I've had too many cycles of false hope!

Our bodies can do very funny things coming off hormonal contraception...

Hi becks. I am mirroring you. I had my marina coil out on the 30 Jan and 1 days beedles 2 days after that and had 3 days positive ovulation strips starting on the 19th Feb. I've got all the symptoms in tender breasts and even needing to pee and slight cramps.
I took a test yesterday and got a negative but I've no signs of AF at all.
I had my coil in for 14 years and had no AF in that time so no Idea of my cycle. I can already sense it's going to an emotional roller coaster. :(
