Artificial Insemination at Home. HELP!

Hello everyone! I would like to get some help especially who those who have successfully conceived using artificial insemination at home. My wife and I are planning to have a baby, however, couldn't afford IVF at the moment. We are thinking trying artificial insemination first. We are same sex couple so we definitely need a donor sperm.

Can anybody recommend a sperm bank please? Roughly how much?
Can we get it delivered at home? And do it ourselves?

I hope I can get a response from these questions and I will continue with my research.

Thank you for your help.

Hiya,

My wife and I are in the same situation. We are looking at cyros sperm donation. It's looks very good. We can't afford clinics at all so this is our only option. We're both too old for NHS help being in out late 30s lol.

Have you had much luck getting info?

Friends of ours did the donor via America and successfully inseminated in the UK.

I had a manager who had 2 babies using donor sperm from a guy found on Facebook! He has over 300 children and only donates to same sex couples... i dont know what his name was but might be worth a look!

If you do decide to try IVf and you are under 35 you could consider egg sharing which reduces the price significantly.

Friends of mine had two babies, one each, using donated sperm from a gay friend of theirs, who doesn't have PR but is more like an uncle in that he buys them presents, takes them out for the day etc. So the two kids are genetic half siblings as have the same father.

I'd love to be able to find a way to get sperm that doesn't cost so much. Being over 35 means our options are limited. I don't have friends willing and tbhs I want it screened first. Cyros is going to cost about £800 for one go. After all the reading today I'm starting to feel negative..
