Possible implantation bleed/cramps?

Bit of background: Had really wacky cycles last year following a late and very heavy period, (I posted an ambiguous test result here before the AF but could have been dye run or evap line, then I got negs after.) In the end I suspected a chemical pregnancy, docs couldn't find anything wrong but it took quite a few months for my hormones to settle out. The last few periods have been normal for me (1 day of cramping and sore boobs before it starts, then instant PMS relief and 4-5 days of medium to heavy red flow.)

But now: LMP was 09/01/17 lasting 5 days. I'm due today but instead of my regular flow, I've had scanty brown spotting for 4 days, usually only when I wipe and not enough to fill a pantyliner. My nipples were really itchy and sore a week prior to AF due, which is not a 'usual' PMS symptom for me. For the past 2 days I've had mild crampy feelings only on the left side of my uterus, more like twinges not full force AF cramps. Nipples still tender, breasts seem veiny but not sore.

It may be too early to test, and I only have 1 internet cheapy left in the pack so I should wait to avoid false results before I buy more. But can't stop googling and reading into every tiny symptom. Maybe I'm imagining them?!

Also, I'm finding that I can't go for more than a couple of hours without a snack or I feel a bit sick. No actual vom though. Maybe it's psychological.

Just wondered if anyone could relate to this? I'm 31, last year after 1 ambiguous and 7 neg tests, normal smear and internal exam, the doctor reckoned it could just be my hormones adjusting to life in my 30s, but I'm not totally convinced.

It's a waiting game from now until the red witch is due next. Might just be a blip month.

Thanks for your reply Hoping. Unfortunately I didn't need to test because the day after I posted on got quite a heavy bleed and cramping with clots. So either just a weird period or possible CP. I may never know.
