Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Age 29
Cycle 18
BFP due 13/02

Stand a really good chance this cycle because I'm having my HSG on Thursday, hopefully it will flush out all that sludge from my pipes and be squeaky clean for the sperm meeting egg.

Hey Sk1pper- I've got good vibes for you these next few months ... you're a true legend and in my opinion one of the most deserving of a bfp :)))) I think I will be as happy if not happier for you my friend :))) xxx

Welcome sweet - thank you for joining .... we're on the same cycle number ... let's hope 3 is the magic number :))) xxx

Come on ladies ... roll up roll up.... plenty of room on the happy ride to bfp xxx

I'll jump on. Need some PMA! Getting fed up of symptom spotting for nothing haha. I have a busy few weeks so hoping to keep my mind off things. Although I'm going to London Thursday without dh and due to ovulate on Friday so just going to try and dtd every day until I leave. Trying conceive plus as although there's no issue with dryness, I never seem to get EWCM. Been taking evening primrose oil since AF stopped to.

Cycle: 4
CD: 10
BFP: 10/2

Hey Charley - welcome :))))
Well sperm can live between 3-5 days so if you can dtd Thursday you stand a good chance I reckon :)))
I've got some pre seed this month which I'm hoping to try ... if I can get oh to dtd at the right time ... he works loads and gets tired so his sex drive is up and down .... when it's up it's amazing ... but when it's down it's shocking ... fx for a lucky February ladies xxx

Thanks hippy! I know the feeling! My Dh leaves at 7:30am and gets home at 10pm so although we both have very high sex drives, it's normally at the weekend then once during the week. Aiming to dtd from yesterday until Thursday though just to give it out best shot. Ovulation was 2 days late last month though so hoping its not the same again this month as I'm not home until Sunday.

Preseed is really good stuff by the way, it's worth grabbing some if you always feel a bit -ehem- dry during fertile week. Just don't use as much as they suggest, it's just toooooo much.

And thanks Hippy - I'm fortunate to know so many supportive and lovely ladies on MN (like yourself). Without this place I'd got absolutely mental!

Wow that's a very very long day I'm not surprised you only dtd once in the week! POsitive - you've both got high sex drives ... this is great and you're only 25 ... wish I was :))) I'm 38 and oh is 41 ... you'll have children by the time you reach our ages :))
Enjoy dtd as much as you possibly can that's what I say xxx

Hi
Would love to join

Age: 23
Cycle: 1
Bfp due approx 7th Feb

Agreed to try and conceive in the new year but have been taking the 'if it happens, it happens' approach since June. Nothing has happened yet so slightly nervous!

Promised DH I wouldn't get obsessive but can already feel I am! Positivity is just what I need!

Report
Charley2016 · 22/01/2017 19:10

Dh is 35. We've been together 8 years and when we were younger neither of us were very healthy shall we say.... so although I kind of knew it would take some time, it doesn't stop the excitement and disappointment each month. Here's hoping we all have a lucky month filled with positivity!

Report
sweetcheeks24 · 22/01/2017 19:56

Thank you for the welcome, Hippychic Smile It will be nice to have other ladies, who are all in the same boat, to chat to throughout this journey (as DH has sworn me to secrecy so haven't been able to confide in any friends/family). We're attempting to conceive DC2 - it took 14 months to get there with DS so am prepared for another long wait...Confused Loving the positive vibes, definitely need it! Yep, also hoping 3 is the magic number! Hope everyone gets their BFPs very soon!

Hippychic79 · 22/01/2017 20:49

Welcome Drop :))) yeah try not to obsess about it too much ... easier said than done though ... we all totally get that :))).
My oh doesn't want to properly start trying for another 6 months or so ... that's why my journey is taking a while ... I'm having to time the tackle precisely ... and hope he's up for it at the right time... last month we were poorly so I didn't count that cycle ... the other two cycles were too early or too late of ovulation by 2-3 days ... so I'm using opks now ... the clear blue digital ones as they give you a definite and I can't be doing with the maybe a line maybe not shit :)))

Charley - I hear you on the not as healthy as you should have been in your younger days - oh and I have lived our lives to excess too ... we're no longer rock on roll ... more like cup of tea and digestives these days ... but I'm remaining positive that our gym and organic eating should be compensating for our past misdemeanours:))

Sweet - your very lucky to have a DS ... you know from experience that good things take time ... at least your body knows what it's doing ... I'm tTC #1 ... so have banned symptom spotting on the basis that I have no freaking idea what I'm looking for and I refuse to keep googling the shit out of everything pregnancy related :)))

Thank you all for joining ...
All welcome xxx

Hippychic, we struggled with timing too. My cycles were all over the place so struggled to figure out if/when I was ovulating as I really didn't know my body very well and my DH doesn't have the highest of sex drives so had to catch him on a good night! Wink I was obsessed with symptom-spotting and Google, but justified it by telling myself I'd have gone nuts TTC in the pre-internet days without instant info/anecdotes at my disposal! Btw it just occurred to me that this thread may be intended for ladies TTC DC1 only...? I will make a sharp exit if so! BlushSmile

Welcome Salem :)) everybody needs PMA ... tTC or not ... feel free to share good and bad ... but preferable if good outweighs bad :)))
I get that it's shit when af rocks up but we need to see it as one cycle closer not one step back :))

Sweet - you are more than welcome to stay ... I just wanted to set up a positive vibe thread where we all step in and cheer each other up if need be ... I read so many threads where someone starts venting or whatever and before you know it everyone's pissed off and then I see a string of bfns ... so I thought I know pma all the way to bfp :)))
Everyone is welcome here - xxx

I really love the quotes/prayers you have added, really nice, thank you!

I have been using Preseed the last 2 cycles, fingers crossed it will work this month.
Hoping to start ovulation tests this month as I'm not sure when I ovulate.

Best of luck to you all

Can I please join too?

I'm Tonks
Age 29
Cycle 4

BFP due 1st Feb

I started cycle 4 promising myself I'd be positive throughout. At first I was forcing a PMA but I'm now at the stage of genuine PMA!

I got a surprise positive OPK CD11 and a temperature rise the following morning confirming Ov, which although is a little early I'm not letting it worry me. PMA all the way!

BFP is due the same day as we'll be leaving for a long weekend in London so would be amazing to go and celebrate.
