How long for One Step POAS to show BFP?

I am due my period today and had slight cramps all day yesterday, but different to my usual AF cramps.

This is our 3rd month TTC and we used preseed lube this month. I have had sore breasts and increased CM this last week, so I decided to take a test. I have a load of internet cheap sticks and it came up with BFN.
They are the One Step brand, not sure if they are early detection or not. How long before you got your BFP on One step if AF was late?

Thanks for reading.

I was 18dpo before I got an extremely faint positive on a One Step. I got a very clear BFP on a FRER 13dpo!

butterscotch1106 Mon 16-Jan-17 12:36:49

Ahhh, so if I go and buy a FRER I might have more luck?

I have a Clearblue in the drawer, was keeping it for to confirm when I get a faint line on One Step.

Are Clearblue any good?

passmethewine123 Mon 16-Jan-17 13:01:25

Clear blue should be accurate on the day of your missed period. I think it's when you're testing earlier that they're not quite as good, is those cases first response are more sensitive. But you should be good with a CB today. FX for you let us know smile

My One Step test was BFP at 18dpo but it was really very faint. Day after I did frer and got a nice clear positive. I've got a thread with pics called something BFP but too faint for 16-18dpo.
Pregnancy and ovulation tests are 3for2 at boots at the moment!

I got a very obvious and indisputable One Step BFP but I'd left testing until I was nearly a week late. so 20dpo.

I got a bfp on one step the day after af was due.

butterscotch1106 Mon 16-Jan-17 13:49:32

Thank you for all your replies! I'm really hoping this month is my month, as no real sign of AF.

I might nip into Boots after work, thanks for the tip!

If I am testing the day AF is due, do I need FMU? Can't wait until tomorrow!!

Oysterbabe Mon 16-Jan-17 13:56:02

You will always get a stronger result with fmu. I would wait until the morning. Your urine will be stronger and if pregnant the hormone level will have risen. Otherwise you could find yourself effectively weeing on a 5er and none the wiser.

Ok,I'll distract myself till then! Thanks!

Update us! Would be good to know if the pre-seed helped. I'm thinking of getting it.

butterscotch1106 Mon 16-Jan-17 17:19:49

I will update tomorrow. Still getting dull cramps, but different to AF. Not sure what to think!

We used preseed last month as well, but didn't work. This is our second month using it. DH not keen on it, strangely he commented that it seems to 'dry up' my natural lubricant, and he says he would rather not use it!! If it has worked, then I say it's worth it!!!

One Step are not sensitive at all. Good luck with the FRER!

I got a bfp 2 days before a was due on one-step tests.

Calmisthemantra Mon 16-Jan-17 22:38:33

I got the very faintest hint of a line at 10dpo on one step. I mean a squint of a squinter, so did a frer DVD guy a faint but clear line

'And there' nothing to do with dvds. Stupid predictive text

following with interest, good luck!!

butterscotch1106 Tue 17-Jan-17 07:22:28

So now I'm confused, the day of AF and still no sign apart from odd cramps...and still BFN!

butterscotch1106 Tue 17-Jan-17 07:23:50

Here is this mornings test

butterscotch1106 Tue 17-Jan-17 07:36:23

Part of me thinks I may have the dates slightly off and it still might be too early, but then the rest of me is expecting AF any second and don't want to waste money on a FRER if that is the case.

passmethewine123 Tue 17-Jan-17 07:48:04

Ohh so frustrating for you! Looks like you might need to sit tight for a couple more days then retest, I would use a FRER next time. More money but worth it for the peace of mind!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles Tue 17-Jan-17 08:29:39

Personally I think I can see a very faint line on your test, so you might not be out yet! I would leave it a couple of days and do a FRER. Good luck!

butterscotch1106 Tue 17-Jan-17 08:32:31

Really?! I can't seem to see it, but I like that you maybe can!!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles Tue 17-Jan-17 09:42:59

Yes, I think I can! When I was pg with DD3, it took a few days for the line to show up properly. Even when I was getting results on the Clearblue Digital, the internet cheaply ones were showing negative, so I wouldn't rely on those. Hopefully try again in a few days.
