Hi Anna, I'm CD3, so is it ok if I join you?

Only 2nd cycle and knew we'd missed fertile window last cycle, so wasn't too much of a surprise when AF arrived.

Although DS is 23 months, this is only my 2nd period, as until recently he was still breastfeeding very frequently. Before pregnancy I had 30 day cycles, between 1st and 2nd period it's been 33 days, so I'll be interested to see what pattern I settle into.

Hopefully a lucky month for us both this time round!

Hi bakingmad

Yes of course it is. I wanted some cycle buddies so we can chat & obsess together. Somehow it's nicer when you know other people are going through it too!

We are on cycle 2 as well as I mc in October. Altho technically last cycle as it was after my mc I wasn't sure when ovulation would take place at all. So think we missed my fertile window as well so really only tried this past cycle properly!

When are you due to ovulate? Think mine is predicted 1st or 2nd Jan. I have cycles between 25 and 29 depending on when I ovulate as mine can move around!

Sorry to hear about your mc Anna.

Tbh I don't know when I'm due to ovulate, I just go on ewcm. It worked when ttc ds, will just see how it goes, as not sure I want to start temping or using opks unless really need to.

Hi! I'm CD5. My period was 6 days late which was a bummer! I had taken a course of antibiotics a couple of weeks back so that obviously affected it. This month will be cycle 4 for me but the first 2 months we weren't taking precautions but also not trying that hard either so second month of properly trying.

Let's hope it's a positive month for us ladies. Hate this long waiting process.

Thanks bakingmad it had been hard but I'm just hoping for a new positive now!

Hi Ladies, please may I join you?
I'm on CD2 and although I've got AF, I have no symptoms, no pain and I'm feeling really good and really positive. Please note, this was not the case a few days ago when i got two consecutive days of BFN's which i was totally devastated about!
My stats: Age 37
I'm moving into cycle 5 i guess but in all honesty this is a bit skewed as my o/h doesn't want to 'properly start trying' until May, so I don't get to dtd as much as i should be in my fertile window and I've only used opk's for two cycles. The reason I point these facts out, is because I don't want anyone to be disheartened by my stats, namely my age.

I am feeling very positive and keen to spread this positive vibe across as many threads as i can.

Having cycle buddies is a great idea...... lets bring on some BFP's in the new year

Welcome Hippychick

I'm on CD2 and feeling more positive as well and looking towards the future so that can only be positive. I was so stressed and anxious last cycle think it ruined our chances so deff going for the more relaxed approach this month.

Let's hope you get your BFP before May anyway! Deffo starting off the new year with some happy news would be nice.

Keep me posted ladies!

thank you Anna xxx
How long are your cycles? Do you know?
Are you TTC#1? Have you been trying for long?
Sorry - don't mean to be nosey but it does help to know where people are at with this.
Annoyingly - I'm being forced to take a casual approach because of my o/h as wants to go on a luxury holiday first which is all well and good but its my body that has to do the major leg work here.
I've been thinking about TTC since September and have been preparing my body in terms of supplements, food, acupuncture and reflexology... just need to stop smoking .... but its really stressful TTC and I go from having hardly any at the beginning of the cycle to smoking flat out towards the end, where I'm so nervous!
I've only just joined mumsnet and the support on here has been phenomenal .... I'm keen to stick with the ladies that have a good PMA... i appreciate the need to vent and that's all well and good... but I don't really like moaning anymore... I used to be a pro at it and I find now, that its just too draining.
Fingers crossed for some BFP's next month - lets kick off next year in style ladies

Can I join in too please! Cd1, AF came just as I was running out of patience waiting for Friday to test thinking about doing a test. Sigh!
I'm 32, ttc#1 and this is cycle 6ish..

Absolutely Arual more the merrier!

Hippychick - My cycles range a bit from 25 to 29 days cos my ovulation day moves around a bit but usually I'm around 27. Think my next AF is due on or around 16th Jan.

I'm 27 and we're TTC #1. We started trying in July and we fell pregnant first time. Unfortunately it ended in mc at 13 weeks in October an we tried straight away again. So this new cycle will be cycle 3. Although our first attempt was unlikely so really only one proper go since :) I'm determined to be positive though.

Anna - So sorry to hear about you mc.
I must say however - I truly admire your positive attitude and your determination to get a BFP.
I've got a good feeling about 2017

welcome Stepmum and Phase :)

Stepmum - I'm TTC #1 so I'm no pro... my only advice is STAY POSITIVE...
it is good to vent on here a little.... but its so much nicer to read positive posts ... and i think that being positive attracts positive things. that is all :)

Have to try stay positive don't you because otherwise I think you would drive yourself mad! I know it will happen again at some point so I just have to be patient and wait.

Good luck to everyone for their cycles! Let's hope due to the xmas period the wait won't seem very long!

Thankyou HippyChick - very much appreciated. Bit emotional last night as AF arrived - but this is first time since coming off pill in November, so guessing my body is getting back into the swing of things and it shows that everything is working which I guess is good! Will just enjoy a glass of vino and the Xmas break. Bring on the trying! x

Too true Anna staying positive is the only way forward. I've used to have a really negative outlook and I know from experience that it does you no good whatsoever- your right we will get there but the best things in life do take time ... it takes 9 months from that bfp which kind of proves the point doesn't it ☺️
Sorry af got you stepmom FlowersFlowersFlowers
It's a bitch because you feel emotional anyway and tTC makes af even worse. Just see it as one step closer and look forward to a positive 2017 where we all get knocked up xxxxxxxxxx

Hippychic - Thankyou FlowersXmas Smilemany people recommending staying off booze during the trying time..... what are people's thoughts? Not 'fertile' (love the apps which tell you!) until first week of Jan- does it make a hue diff? Do people recommend vits? Am taking folic acid

Hi stepmum - I don't drink but I've read lots of books and they all say that a drink or two is fine.
Reference supplements - I take a pregnancy multi vitamin which has every thing you need in it and zinc .... supplements are a personal thing and always good to get advice from professional even if it's just the seller in the health shop. Definitely folic acid though xxxxxxx

Yes I take a pregnancy multi vitamin as well. I think having a drink or too would be fine. Especially in this festive period. We can only enjoy ourselves ladies and relax about the whole thing!

Thankyou very much ladies Smileone other question - is it just me, or is everyone around now announcing pregnancies and babies etc, which is making TTC slightly more challenging?? Hmm

I know the feeling. Out of my 5 best friends, ones just had a baby and 3 are pregnant! But like hippychic said our time will come. Everything happens for a reason. An we truly have to believe that.
