Do OPKs work?

Thinking of trying OPKs next month as I have differing cycle lengths so it's hard to predict ovulation and we don't DTD that much so it makes sense to try to target it. My question is do OPKs actually work? Any top tips for using them? I have got a clearblue dual hormone one 20s. Thank you

Follow the instructions. But DTD as much as you can in your fertile week. Yes they do work but obviously don't confirm you actually ovulate. X
