January bus anyone?

Thought I'd start the January bus, anyone else hoping for their BFP to welcome in the new year?
My stats are -
Age 23
TTC #2
CD 10
Cycle -- hard to put a number on, been trying a year but have had two losses, 5w and 12w so not sure where to count from.

I am 26 and TTC #1 :) I came off the pill about 2 weeks ago now so it's looking like this month is out the window for me, as still no AF or ovulation! What day are you on in your cycle?

Been trying since July and so far not a peep. My cycles are really regular and no hint that anything might be wrong so hoping that its just taking a while and that we get there at some point in the NY. I fluctuate wildly between being positive and crying that it'll never happen and that we are doomed...

Oh - I'm also a temp-er - not tried OPKs thus far and don't think I'll bother - temps have seemed to indicate that I do ovulate and because cycles are fairly regular it doesn't seem necessary to do both!

Yes I've been really impatient and have been testing most days apart from the first few! It's really strange because last time I came off my contraceptive in 2014 TTC #1 I got a positive OPK a few days later and that's why I am worried this time! So should you be ovulating soon? Are you using them?

we only tried for a few months tho.. Had to stop as my partner was in hospital for 3months after a life changing bike accident :( We have decided its the right time to try again as he's not going to recover anymore than he has already! (2 years waiting to TTC is long enough)

I haven't tried it, do you think that's better then? I need to do some reaserch on it as I'm not really sure how it works and the best time to do it X

I think that OPKs are maybe better if you have irregular cycles as they give you a good idea of when to DTD however they can occasionally record a false gear up whereby the hormones surge but you don't then ovulate until later and then you miss the window. With temping its more of a certainty that you actually have ovulated as otherwise your temperature won't increase but obviously by the time its gone up its too late to know to get on it if you know what I mean ;) Think everyone is totally different and temping is a bit more cumbersome as you've got to take your temp at same time every day, as soon as you wake up etc. and then know how to read your chart (although you get Apps that do it for you!) so it can be pretty fiddly but I'm getting on OK with it.

I might have to give it a go! It's still really early for me after coming off my pill so I prob just need to wait to get my body back in a good cycle before I will be able to get a good idea of the day I ovulate! We DTD every other day anyway if not more sometimes so we might be lucky and just get a BFP without a possitive OPK X

Hey flora I use opks for that specific reason, my periods have always been irregular, but since last mc they are like clockwork, strange!
Anyone taking any supplements? I take folic acid and cod liver oil, looking into taking some more.
Sorry about your oh amz sounds like a terrible time, I hope he's doing better.
I also flip between being sad we don't have another to thinking it's okay it'll come when it comes!

Yes that is strange DrRB! I'm sure we will all get our time when we're ready! It must be so horrible to go through what you did.

It was a horrible time but I'm grateful I still Have him, i just hope it didn't effect his fertility, he said he will probably go and get some tests done after six months of trying as I know it's on his mind too X

It was a bike accident and he was quite bruised in that area if you know what I mean 😁 The doctors never said anything about it at the time but I think it was the last of their worries to be honest! I'm sure if it's meant to be it will happen for us!
Just reread the message before your last one about the supplements, I am taking the same as you! Did you take anything else for your first pregnancy x

Hello everyone.

I am tentatively joining. I thought we had missed this month but got unexpected positive today and DH due home tonight, so hopefully we have a small chance. Have had very long cycles from 35-44 days so think I'll need to head to GP.

Cycle 3 but ttc since August ( long cycles)

I've been taking Angus Cactus, Evening Primrose capsules, and Folic Acid. No change in cycle length so not sure AC helps .

Due to ovulate on my wedding night so a honeymoon baby would be nice!

I haven't taken the pill since May so I'm not sure why my cycles are so strange. They seem to be getting longer with last cycle the longest yet. DH works away so it is hard to DTD at the right time.

No 1 was a happy accident and I was on the pill.

Fingers crossed you ovulate soon. Waiting so long to ttc & the accident must have been so hard!

Well to be honest I knew it wasn't the right time so I sort of just put it to the back of my mind! But as soon as we started trying again I'm back to this crazy baby making woman 🙈 A few of my friends have fallen pregnant whilst on the pill, which one was you on Daz? Let's hope it is the lucky thread X

I'm not 100% sure when AF due- I'm fairly irregular. Probably around the 2nd.

I've been preggers once before in 2014 but had a mc at 17 wks. Then life got in the way for a while. Excited to be try again and suitably obsessed!

Hey everyone welcome to the thread! amz I really am hoping it hasn't damaged anything, Fx!
No, DD was a surprise, I was very unhealthy and didn't find out for a while as my periods were irregular.
Next two pregnancies I was taking folic acid and putting my legs up after DTD, just DTD once a day on FW.
Currently laying here with the flu, I look like an absolute goddess ball of snot, but oh is still raring to try, bless him. He's as excited as me.
