TMI...Think I've been losing my plug over the last few days, any of you with DC already had any experience of this? Don't want to bring the tone of the shiny, new thread down!! Baby is already close to 8lb 😳 So we could be going places! Then again could go over!

Hope everybody is well, been following all.

Hey parney,
I lost my plug and then few hours contractions started. The plug looks and feels like EWCM but in larger quantity. It can come away gradually but generally means you are v close ! Oh my days it could be soon even tonight?!?? My first ds was born at exactly 37 weeks!! My second was 38. Mild cramps to start like mild AF cramps every 5-20 mins then gradually get worse and closer together.

Hey all!
TTC DC#2
Age: 33 (34 next month!)
CD8
Cycle 13 (x2 MCs = 1 last March and 1 last week Sad)

Welcome to newcomers! Hope this is a lucky thread for us all!
Parney I didn't ever lose the plug, had to be induced with DS! My twin is also measuring really big (she's due 31st Jan) they are going to test her for GD! Hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable.
Footy, maybe a break from Clomid is a good idea. You did it naturally (x2) before, no reason it can't happen again!? Maybe your body just doesn't get on with that particular drug?

Well it's all happening over here! For those who don't know, I suffered a MMC in last couple of weeks. Found out at 8.2 weeks that bean stopped growing at 6 weeks (this was Monday 28th). Things started happening naturally soon after. Full bleeding last Saturday which I'm classjng as CD1. Hpts were still blazing positive for a while. Thursday started to fade, and just now back to nearly bfn. Only spotting now too, so decided to do opk and it's a mega peak reading!! So maybe I'm about to ovulate?! I tend to ov early anyway (from CD12 usually), but CD8/9?! I know opks can pick up hcg, but not better than a hpt can, so if hpt is close to negative, the opk must be picking up LH?! Do you reckon I'm OK to DTD while still spotting a bit?? I've read you should wait til MC bleed stops because of infection, but I don't want to miss the egg and it is only spotting! My ovulation wasn't delayed with last MC either, but it wasn't this bloody early! Help, what would you do??

Tee,I think you should be ok. Just go easy no vigorous dtd. As long as gentle I think the swimmers will be fine. Really pleased your hormones are settling xx

Report
Tee4me · 10/12/2016 23:32

Mission accomplished. Defo nothing vigorous! Might try x2 tomorrow-am & pm, then once Monday, then I might be done if opk wasn't a false reading?! Works out well cos DH has work dos every night next week so DTD will be impossible! Hoping for a temp rise Monday or Tuesday x

Yay tee! Keep at it and monitor with the opks!! It's great that things are getting back to hiw they were, your body knows what it's doing!! Your DS is at a fab age for Christmas this year, is he excited? I'm not uncomfortable at all, will really miss the bump! Drrwding having to dress a deflated one instead!!

Hi Footy!! How are things with you? Exciting times in your house too, what age are your DC? Interesting about your plug, thanks. I had been losing noticable bits since tuesday then this morning quite a big, ping pong ball sized chunk appearead Blush, would love for it to get things started like yours went. Mild cramping us what I'm feeling, if anything.

Welcome Autmn and Soul!

Tee4me · 11/12/2016 09:42

Thanks Parney! He's so excited, more so than ever. I've planned lots of things so we can focus on and enjoy Christmas! We've been on a Gingerbread man trail, went ice skating yesterday, panto booked for early Jan, lots of fun to be had! Yes I get you worrying about missing the bump! I adored having a bump and much preferred dressing that than the deflated one! Silly me didn't think ahead with DS. Generally wore long tight tunics, didn't have much baggy maternity stuff, then after he was born it occurred to me I'd no longer want my tummy on show so had to dash out to buy lots of floaty shirts etc. Really hope you are pampered at Christmas!!
Feel slightly nervous that we've started to DTD while I'm still spotting. Took both tests again first thing, opk still blazing and hpt faint test line. Temp nice and low. I really don't get the infection thing. I definitely don't have any retained products, so surely it's just like DTD at the end of a period?! If anyone know more about the infection risk I'm all ears?! Can't really find a clear answer from Dr Google! People just saying your cervix will still be a bit open, but isn't it anyway when you're fertile?! x

You're a trooper Mim! It's very satisfying when you know you've done a decent amount of DTD in FW, especially if the circumstances aren't ideal (illness etc!)
What are your temps saying today Footy?
Soul I just read you should try and eat lots of warm/hot lunches and dinners leading up to expected AF, keep your uterus nice and warm! We have a theory on this thread that bed socks are a good idea!! Cold feet are a no no in 2ww!
Autumn any new tactics for this cycle?? I always find it helps with keeping positivity up if you add a new element into the game plan!!
Beagles & Earth how are things today?
Kate hope things are calming down for you!
Jem thinking of you while you take a bit of time out.
Nim are you feeling any better lovely? xx

My stats
Nimisha
Age 37
Ttc #3
Cycle i don't know, maybe 8 or 9
2nd cycle after mmc at 10 weeks

I'm feeling better thanks Tee. Having a chilled day today. Back to work tomorrow. I've had another uti which is annoying.

I'm in the 2ww I think. I've not been charting this month but I had sore nips which is an ov sign for me. Dtd for fun only this month. If AF hasn't arrived by the weekend before Christmas I'll test.

Hey mimi I feel your pain, I've had two months of cold symptoms and I'm mightily sick of snot now.

Parney I'm so excited, soon we will have our first square one baby! I went over with both mine and only lost the plug in labour.

Footy I think it's good to have a plan, have you got some more progesterone tablets?

Tee4me well I'm a bit new to it all really - not been temping or anything. Just keeping an idea of dates and making sure to dtd. To be honest, I'm a bit scared of taking it too much more seriously because dtd just becomes about baby-making, not fun if you know what I mean? Maybe one more 'fun' cycle then get a plan involved.
What are everybody else's tactics?

Report
Footy1 · 11/12/2016 16:11

I agree autumn best to have the relaxed approach. I started that way but it only lasted 1 cycle Blush

Hi soul! Lovely to have more on thread. Was getting worried I'd b left on my own.

Tee, temp about the same just slightly less. I'm not convinced tbh! Slight cramps today. Exhausted trying to get my head round it. Going to come off clomid it's def not working just messing my cycle up and giving me constant side effects.
Not sure this cycle is going to be a happy one. So blooming typical after I manage to get DH on board 100% but then I can't ovulate. Lots of EWCM today again and still can't feel cervix?! Opk's positive for few days. Few cramps today so maybe body still gearing up again.
Glad all went well last night, good sign that things ok. I'm sure you'll b fine. I sometimes dtd end of AF and sometimes AF starts mid flo of dtd and beginning of cycles so it's not harmful. Really want u to get a Christmas/new year bub! X
Beagles, hope the in laws are not stressing u!
Parney I'm expecting an "arrival" post soon Wink
Yes mimi this irregularity is driving me to my wine stash Wink just don't know what's wrong.
Hope you are ok jam X
Nim yes got a stash of norethisterone to bring AF on when I need too. Just don't know what to do for the best.
