Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

I don't think I've ovulated!! Things have all gone a bit haywire, I had 2 days after my catheter came out where I could pee, but my bladder went on strike again on Saturday... So another week with catheter again. We did manage to DTD the day before what should have been ov day as catheter was out but I do not have the uber sore boobs that usually happen after ov so who knows. I think my body has enough to deal with this month... I've had 2 horrendous UTI's in a week and I currently hate life. Following quietly mostly, just cheering you all on Grin

Hey pie oh how frustrating, hope you're feeling better soon. You've definitely had enough to deal with this monthFlowersFlowers

Not at all Eva30 I posted about it to seek advice.

I have a disability which can be hereditary or entirely random and I don't know which one I have. I need to get a referral from my GP to receive genetic counselling and find out.

I'm hoping it's not hereditary but really not willing to take the risk. I wouldn't want my DC to have to go through what I have simply because I was impatient!

Hi all again,

Me 29 OH 28
Cycle 4
Cd 12

Ive been having really weird cramps today and without sounding weird I have been finding sitting uncomfortable. Odd!! So maybe ovulation day. although i think this month will be a dudd as oh still has a sore back and i am currently nursing the most horrendous headache. Hoping a lush bath after dinner will make me feel better. I was really hoping to dtd tonight. Confused

Oh no pie you really aren't having much luck at the moment. I went through a stage of getting utis (wonder if it hereditary as mum suffers withh them). Lots of cranberry juice.

Baboosha sounds like a good idea to get tested if it will help ease your mind.

Welcome babooshka

Thanks bliss, Eva, basset I'm on antibiotics now, again.. but have been drinking loads of water and taking d mannose (the sugar that's in cranberries!) but unfortunately UTI's are a major risk when you have an indwelling catheter, not a huge amount to do to avoid it sadly!

basset if you can power through the headache then spooning is not too bad for backs? DH has slipped discs and waiting for surgery so we're limited position wise and that's a safe one!

Ah I hope so Eva still getting flashing smileys on CB just did another one. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a static - or else I have no idea whats going on.

Pie hope you feel better soon. Flowers

basset hopefully a bath will make the headache fade. I suffer from migraines so feel your pain. I find full fat coke and Nurofen help.

I was also planning on DTD tonight but think it will be tomorrow. DH will be late tonight so say I will be fast asleep when he gets home.

Alice I hope you see this message. I really felt for you after the Christening. Why do people think it's ok to interrogate you about this. I ended up smiling and nodding along if it was an elderly relative but if it was someone who I thought should know better I would tell them that it was upsetting and insensitive to start conversations like that.

I had some times when we were TTC that I felt really low but one thing that really helped was a baby bucket list. Every month when AF turned up we planned something that we couldn't do with a baby or when pregnant e.g. visit a theme park, boozy weekend in Paris, hiking weekend away, fancy dinner with champagne. I'm so glad we did as we had some great times and it made us really relax and have fun together and helped to take the pressure off TTC. I'm now actually really glad it took a while as we had a great 7 months and life will change so much when you do get a bfp. I hope that this helps.

Hi to everyone else, good luck to everyone in the TWW. Welcome babooshka

All good with me, I have my next scan on Thursday, getting nervous now! I

Ah I see babooshka - yeah I'd do the same, just for peace of mind. Are you on the pill? I'd stop taking it now to give yourself 3 months for cycles to sort themselves out and use other contraception?
bassett I was the same last week - was definitely ov for me and yes it sounds strange the sitting down thing but that was the worst for me, felt like everything was being squashed in and hurt!!
hells yeah definitely sounds like you'll get your static in next couple of daysGrin
seahawk good to hear everything is going well, hope time goes quick for you to the next scan

Have had 3 days of flashing smilies. Had 7 days of them last month before static. Then progesterone test wasn't even conclusive that I ovulated.
Not sure what's happening but DTD Thur, Sat, Sun and will keep going til after static face. Will test just before Christmas.

Alice hope you are alright after insensitive comments. If you can cut them off and walk away or change the subject entirely.

Pie hope antibiotics work very soon. Catheters are a pain.

Babooshka hope you get some answers soon.

Hope everyone is doing okay. Sooo fed up of that Amazon ad where she gives her fella the baby names book. And the relentless baby talk in work. But only 3 weeks til Christmas and if I'm not PG I have a lot of champagne to drink.

Pjs is champagne not a vegetarian aphrodisiac or is it just that it gets you tipsy? 😉 How about chocolate?

Luckily I've never been on hormonal contraception because I have migraines with aura.

Morning everyone.

When I'm asked about babies, and that's been a lot recently as I think my friends are getting fed up of waiting for an announcement. I just reply. "If only it was as easy as clicking my fingers, hopefully in the future" which leaves it open ended while also giving a hint not to bring it up again. Of course, this didn't really work for my longest friend (we've known each other for 30 years) and she recently recruited her children to demand I have "a girl I can play with" or "a boy please" and yeah please get pregnant.

I'm working on it. Lol. We've been married for 8 years so it's something I've always had, probably a little more difficult to answer the last few years.

So according to my stupid 23 day cycle last time ovia and ff thinks I'll ovulate today. CD9. I bloody hope not as we haven't DTD yet. Last cycle I'm thinking I ovulated on CD15 and had an 8 day LP according to OPK so I'm going to start OPK tomorrow. Wouldn't it be great if you had a little fairy that just said, ok, you're ovulating on Thursday!!

jene I'll join you with the champagne.
I'm feeling so frustrated today, another pg announcement on FB this morning, feeling really fed up. I swore I would stop temping when I ov but I didn't and now my chart is doing weird things. I'm going to try GP again but I fucking hate that place. I moved house in May (so new GP) and each time I have been they have been useless and quite insensitive so I said to DH I'll give them one more chance to be nice and if not then we're moving GPs!
Humphhh, just one of those days. 8dpo and probably gearing up for cycle 9...

Sorry you're feeling down Eva sending you a virtual hug. Have some prosecco and mince pies to cheer yourself up.

I was thinking about Facebook announcements the other day. There are lots of people I know who live abroad who I'd like to tell but I know how upsetting they can be. As my 12 week scan results will be just before Christmas I think I'll just let my closest friends and work colleagues know and then leave it for a while, probably until the 20 week scan as I think Christmas would be bad timing for a Facebook announcement. Does that sound like a good idea? I'm not aware of anyone TTC except my very best friend who already knows but of course there could be lots of people who are and just don't mention it.

I just came off cerazette on the 17/11, I was already bleeding when I stopped taking it so had a withdrawal bleed straight away and am now waiting for my first natural AF in 7 years! Not planning on trying properly for a few months.

Beacause having kids is not something that I really wanted until after I came off the pill, DH wants me to make sure it's definitely something I want now after the post-pill hormones have calmed down. Understandable I suppose, however we did spend most of yesterday talking about it, we've picked out baby names and planned the nursery so I don't think we'll be waiting that long! Hmm
