Like the title it possible to have what seem to be regular periods and still be pregnant? I've read about it online but I wanted to know if it's actually happened to anyone on here? If so then how did you eventually find out that you were/are pregnant?

I had a positive pregnancy test 2 periods ago. So I had assumed that I had a chemical. I never took a test last month as AF arrived and we hadn't really been trying very hard :/ but this month and I mean the whole month not just when AF was due I have been so ridiculously emotional and really short tempered! And I'm being polite there...I have gone absolutely crazy over the tiniest things and just get so grumpy over nothing! My nipples are definitely darker and my clothes are definitely tighter (I haven't changed my diet...that I know of). I haven't taken a test and I'm trying to avoid it as I think I might just be being silly but something just seems off? Any advice please? Other than cheer up! Haha X

Yes it is....happened to me. Was a bleed, rather than a period obviously though.

I only knew as I temp, plus I had morning sickness from 4 weeks...

It's possible to have what seem like periods (but aren't obviously!) smile

I would run any bleeding you're having past your midwife/GP though. For some it can be a normal part of their pregnancy but it should always be checked out just in case it is something to worry about. Hopefully not, but I'd call your GP to ask. It may be that they refer you for an early emergency scan and you'll get your answer as to whether or not you're pregnant!

Sorry I couldn't give more concrete answers but I have no first hand experience unfortunately!

Good luck! flowers

Why would you avoid taking a test? Take a test and if negative then move on, if not make a midwife appointment.
Good luck!

Thanks for all your replies. I bought some FRER tests tonight and couldn't wait til the morning so I did one tonight after only going to the loo about an hour before. Despite that it could not be more negative if it tried! I will do another first thing in the morning just to be sure. X

I'm sorry. If you were as pregnant as you expect you wouldn't need FMU for a positive test. I would suspect you suffered a loss. So sorry. X

I suspected as much too. No need to be sorry smile onwards and upwards! Think I just needed to make sure so I could put that little "what if" to bed. Probably sounds so silly! It's so stressful this baby making malarkey! X
