Hi everyone, I'm a longtime lurker. Been ttc for 18 months (one early miscarriage, one mmc, but nothing happened for 10 months now) Been reading a lot of the advice on the forums but been too shy to contribute until now!

I'm about 7 or 8 dpo, today I experienced sharp stabbing pains on my left side around where my ovary is. Worse when I moved my leg to do something like getting up or changing gears while driving. I've been reading around online worrying that it means ectopic pregnancy - has anyone ever had anything like this happen to them?

Have you called GP or 111?
I had pains around left ovary around the time dc was conceived. In my case it was a dermoid ovarian cyst, which they think was growing due to the pregnancy hormones. My pain wasn't sharp though iirc. Best to call 111 and they can send you in the right direction if you still have pain.

I second that, the 111 service was amazing when I had a burst cyst on my ovary a couple of cycles below. I was freaking out thinking it was an ectopic or appendicitis and they got me seen at a hospital with no waiting time. Just rocked up and went right in. If the pain continues and it feels particularly abnormal, get it seen for peace of mind xx good luck

Thank you both so much for replying, the pains have subsided by now. I was getting worried as it wasn't consistent; not too bad when I was sitting or standing still, but much more noticable when I was moving my leg. It only lasted a few hours in the end. If it happens again I will definitely call 111 - thanks for the advice Smile

I had that. AF came the next day. FX it was something positive for you like implantation. Smile
