Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

iv just joined this site to
ttc first
28 so bit older then you lol
we havnt fully started yet as still waiting for af who is two days late

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 13:13

Could you already be pregnant!? This is our second cycle. It's been very hard to predict ovulation etc because I lost my periods for 6 months due to weight loss and they've only just come back. I know it's still early days but I'm so impatient!

Hi I've just joined too - first post!
I'm 27 and ttc for 5 months now. The waiting game is horrible!

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 13:22

I know and you second guess everything! Period due in 3 days and I'm convinced my boobs are swollen more than usual and therefore must be pregnant! It's probably more likely PMS though. It's so deflating to have to start another cycle and know you'll get no definite answers for another month or so!

I'm 25 and trying for our first :) just finishing my first cycle after coming off the pill and should be due AF any day now. Took a test yesterday and it was negative so looking forward to the next cycle!

alwaysnumber1 · 06/11/2016 13:33

i didnt track ovulation last month as we agreed to start this month and my cycle is normally spot on to the point i can say what day each month,

had backach cramps for a few weeks but iv been ill aswell so put it down to that

AF was due friday and had cramps and one sore boob sice lol

no signs of AF yet so just gotta wait normally i hate it but i cant wait this time as it means will be ttc once finished

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 13:44

I took a test yesterday too. Are the clearblue early detection ones really any different to normal ones? It was negative and I was really disappointed. Period not due until Wednesday so maybe too early to tell?

Could be a little too early, some people get faint lines a few days before they miss their period but just as many people don't get anything, even if they are pregnant. It's so hard to judge. My period isn't due until Tuesday so testing yesterday was a bit early!

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 14:46

Will you test again? Maybe I'll wait until Wednesday and see if anything comes in the meantime...

It's my first period off the pill so I think I'll give it till next weekend maybe before testing again, I don't want waste another test. Much less stressful to just assume I'm not pregnant now haha.

cpeach89 · 06/11/2016 19:16

Hi, am I too late to join in? I'm 27 and this is our first month properly trying. Used both OPKs and have tracked temps. 2dpo now and already the 2ww is driving me bonkers. I've been off the pill for over 2 years now and we've been just waiting and seeing and trying to lose weight to make our chances greater. Good luck to all at the back end of the 2ww. Would be great to see some BFPs Smile

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 19:20

2ww is so stressful I know! You are doing more than me. I have done some OPKs but never seem to get a positive so we just have sex everyday in my presumed fertile period and hope for the best! It's not long to wait in the grand scheme of things...good luck! I'm testing again on Wednesday!

why is it that AF is late when we finaly agree to start ttc :(
two days late lots of cramps and backach fell asleep woke up feeling wet (sorry) and thought AF was here but nothing
im wearing a pad just incase

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 20:17

Bodies never do what you want them to do, do they!? Hopefully it'll come in the night/tomorrow and you'll be able to plan more effectively your next cycle :(

Hope I can join!
I'm 26 and I've got one month off pills left, find it interesting reading on here as I don't know what to expect :)! Xx

Autumn0909 · 06/11/2016 20:51

The waiting is definitely the worst! As soon as AF appears, you can just think 'right, try again next month'. Until then it's 'am I, aren't I?' and convincing yourself that your usual PMT symptoms are pregnancy symptoms. Or is that just me???

alwaysnumber1 · 06/11/2016 20:55

we havnt started trying yet other wise i would be the same and rushing out to buy as many tests as i could carry thinking every PMT symptom was a pregnancy one lol

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 21:01

I have been feeling up my boobs all day. The am I/aren't I is spot on!

OP posts:
cpeach89 · 06/11/2016 21:18

Yup! I'm terrible for symptom spotting!

mrsjkerry · 06/11/2016 21:21

Do you have any?

Ik 24 and on my first proper cycle of trying too. Came back from honeymoon 4 weeks ago straight from our wedding and had came off the pill 3 months before to let my body get back to normal. Have been trying since night of wedding, but I think we had just missed ovulation at that point. Used a few OPKs and I ovulated this Friday. DTD wed, fri, sat, so now just starting on the 2ww and keeping my fingers crossed!

charley2016 · 06/11/2016 22:42

Sorry, came back from honeymoon 2 weeks ago! Wedding was 4 weeks today Smile

Hi! So I'm 28 & we've just decided to try for our first baby! 😁 I was super excited so I stopped my pill with 5 days left in the pack, that was on Wednesday and I've not had any bleeding yet & from what I've read online I should maybe of had some sort of bleed by now? I've had a look at all the ovulation calculator things and honestly I'm baffled! 😳 Can anyone give me any advice on ovulation after the pill??
Thanks! 😊

mrsjkerry · 07/11/2016 08:05

Hi Shaz
You will probably get your usual withdrawal bleeding but should wait until you've had a full natural period and then count 14 days from the end of that period and that should roughly be when you ovulate. I'd buy a predictor kit as well if I were you!
