Evening ladies,

I was hoping for a little advice/wondering if anyone had any similar experiences.

DH and I have been TTC since May. As we both work away quite a lot we've had terrible timing on most cycles, so I'm not surprised that we haven't conceived yet. However, this has given me time to track my cycles and try to understand how my body works.

Over the last 12 months, my cycles have always been around 34 days (give or take a day) and OPKs tell me I ovulate on day 22 or there abouts.

I am now on CD 27 and although iv been using OPK since about CD19 I don't seem to have ovulated yet which is pretty unusual.

Yesterday (CD26) I had some watery pink when I wiped and a little bit of brown in my underwear. I've also had a lot of CM. I don't usually notice CM at all, but it has been stringy and iv had a few clumpy bits too and just generally feeling pretty 'damp' sorry if TMI. I've also had some light cramping. Today, everything is back to normal, no more pink or brown.

I've been taking Vitex for the last 3 weeks or so, so I am wondering if perhaps I ovulated early so missed it with the OPKs, but why the pink and excessive CM, is Vitex known for that?

DH and I haven't seen each other a great deal this month so I don't think Im pregnant as we only DTD 3 times on CD11, 18 and 25.

Has anyone experienced anything similar when taking Vitex? My cycles are a little long, but very very regular, and I've never had mid cycle spotting before. Should I be concerned? Should I stop taking the Vitex?

Thank you in advance.

I'd do a pregnancy test before I made any other decisions. Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you so much for your reply,

I honestly don't feel like pregnancy is a possibility. We've only DTD 3 times this cycle. I wouldn't even know when to test given that I don't know if/when I ovulated!

Well the symptoms you're describing are very like my early pregnancy symptoms...

Oh really. That's interesting to know.

Perhaps I'll wait until CD34 and rest of nothing happens before hand. That's another 6 days though. Confused

What other symptoms did you have in the very early days?

Sounds like my early pregnancy symptoms too. My other symptoms included heartburn, slightly tender breasts and just not feeling quite 'right'. Let us know how you get on OP x

In addition to the symptoms above, I had painful breasts, tiredness, one distinct hot flush feeling and an excess of saliva!

Thank you both that's really helpful.

Although our families assume that we are TTC I don't actually have anyone I can talk to about these things, so thank you for listening.

I've been feeling ok. Not tired, if anything I've actually been struggling to get to sleep most nights recently. My boobs aren't sore either which makes me think that I can't have ovulated yet as they are usually sore around ovulation.

The only thing that is a little weird is that in a meeting today, I could smell the mint tea someone was drinking right at the back of the room, but I figured it'd be too early for that kind of symptom. My tummy is also niggly. I get very bad period pains normally, but what I feel is very mild in comparison to that.

I feel as though I might wake up to AF tomorrow.

I will keep you posted though. It would be such a wonderful surprise if I did miraculously get a bfp!

It is entirely possible that you ovulated early, say for example a positive opk on cd17, youd have ovd on cd18 when you dtd, on cd19 the lh levels would be back to normal and your opk would show as negative. Yesterday would then be 7 dpo which would be consistent with implantation bleeding, the mild cramps are a common early symptom also.

Don't rule out a bfp IMO Smile

Gosh, I guess you are right.

I've been so regular for months that I didn't even consider that I could ovulate so much earlier. Really wish I'd have started using OPKs earlier in my cycle. Seems like a silly mistake now seeing as I was taking Vitex to
shorten my cycles.

The wait is on....and it's horrible!

If I did ovulate on the date you proposed, what CD would I be looking at testing?

Thank you for your help!

Iv just poas and huge BFN however I have got a positive OPK (not quite as strong as control, but will be tomorrow) so it looks like I'll ovulated late on CD29?

This is completely rubbish. I don't know why my cycle is suddenly so out of whack, and now I'm worrying that the spotting could be something sinister. 😥

My guess would be vitex has delayed your ovulation and messed you up a bit. I tried b6 to help lengthen my lp once and I didn't ovulate until day 30 and bled on and off all month. Whereas other people have good results. We're all different!

I'd stop taking vitex if I was you. You have a nice regular cycle and a good lp, don't ruin it!!!

If it makes you feel better too, I conceived ds on cd22. It's a pain waiting 3 weeks to ovulate but it's more than doable!

Morning everyone.

I am now on CD33 and still no sign of AF. I tested positive on OPK for 4 days and then ran out of sticks so no idea if they would still be positive. If the OPKs were correct then inwould be 4dpo which would make my cycle 41 days long Confused. But I only usually have 2 positive OPKs.

This cycle definately feels different. My boobs haven't felt at all different, and they are usually very sore around ovulation. I've also had lots of Very strange CM. Kind of clumpy. Very odd.

Something very strange is going on this month. I don't think I'll be taking Vitex again. Seems to have completely thrown my cycle off.
