Miscarriage when pregnant first month after cool removal?

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new on here, looking for a little help please.

So, at the start of Oct I had my copper cool removed. My DP and I decided to wait 1 month before TTC and used condoms when I was ovulating. Only 1 time we didn't use condoms and he didn't 'finish' inside me. This was approx a week ago.

However, I have been feeling a little off today and have thrush like symptoms (sorry TMI) which I have never had before. Decided to try a test to see what would happen, and a very faint line showed up.

My question is... I am wondering if there is anyone who has had a successful pregnancy after conceiving in first month after coil removal? I had heard that the risk of miscarriage was higher?

Please could you help put my mind at ease, as we had planned to wait a month, but I am maybe pregnant now? (I say maybe because only 1 test was positive and the other 3 negative, including a Clearblue 1)

Many thanks
Smile

With DS I fell pregnant 4 weeks after my Coil was removed and I went on to have a successful pregnancy. I had another Coil inserted when DS was 12 months old.

In February of this year I had my Coil removed and fell pregnant within 3 weeks but that time I miscarried at 6 weeks.

I think most of the evidence people use to suggest this is purely anecdotal.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to say that these pregnancies would not have miscarried anyway. It does not necessarily link to the coil.

Try not to worry if you are pregnant. Just take each day as it comes, congratulations and good luck.

I got pregnant straight after mierna coil removal but by the time i went for my dating scan, i was told that sadly id had an early loss and pregnancy had reabsorbed. I was still experiencing pregnancy symptoms too at that point. The sonographer commented that my womb lining was very thin and having a coil causes that. She recommended having 2-3 periods before trying again, to give the womb lining chance to thicken do it would be a better environment for successful implantation. Not everyone is the same though, so think positive and fingers xd all will be ok for you OP. Good luck.
