Hello everyone, please can you tell me if this is a line, it's quite faint?

Thank you!

Is this a line?!

Yep! That's a line!

If it came up in the right time window, then I would say yes! A line is a line it doesn't matter if it's faint.

Looks good to me! Nice and pink actually, I've seen fainter lines.

lolipop2405 · 25/10/2016 17:04

Oh my!! I think it was about 1 and half mins? It doesn't say on the packet how long to wait... You reckon I should go and try a clear blue one that lets me know how many weeks?

It depends how late you think you might be, the clear blue tests aren't as sensitive as others so sometimes it takes a few more days to show as positive on those.

Flingmoo · 25/10/2016 17:09

Yes, my line was much more faint than that! I used a clear blue digital test afterwards to reassure myself and it came up with a clear "pregnant" which is less easy to doubt than a funny little line.

Anways, you are preggers for sure - congrats Grin

Erm... I'm not even late yet, period due next week. Have been feeling off today and thought I'd test to see! I think I'm maybe 9 DPO? Thanks for your help so far!

That's a line, congratulations!

I've had positives with digits using FMU at 11 DPO on two occasions.

Good luck when you next test!

So I've just tested using a clear blue and another 1 the same as first year and they are both negative?

It's a line! False negatives are a lot more common than false positives.

Did you use first morning urine? 9dpo and later in the day urine with a not super sensitive test = negative. That does not mean you aren't pregnant, just that the hcg has not built up to above the threshold for the test.

Clear blue aren't as sensitive as many other tests. They are one of the least sensitive ones you can buy actually. Also your urine will become more diluted throughout the day as you drink and urinate. It is not at all unusual for a test in the morning to show a positive but a test in the evening show a negative in the early stages. This is why you're advised to test with FMU before you have anything to eat or drink.

The line showed up within the time limit so you're most definitely pregnant. Congratulations!

Ok thank you all for your help! I'm going to test in a couple of days if I can wait that long! I was so sure I wasn't pregnant as I only just got the coil out and we were using a condom when I was ovulating and actually he didn't 'finish ' inside me the 1 and only time we didn't use a condom? Sorry for long winded, I'm just slightly in shock and it hasn't fully sank in yet.

That line looks to be in a funny place to me Confused can you try a FRER?

Looks like it to me! Congrats

Haveacupoftea.... Do you think it's maybe an evaporate line? I'm going to try in the morning, I think.

What's the difference between this line on my test and an evaporation line?

The line has colour so i dont think it is an evap. But it looks a bit wonky and too close to the control line...it could just be the type of test. What does the line look like now that the test has dried out a bit?

See the funny thing is it's completely gone now?! If I hadn't taken a picture, I'd have been convinced I imagined it! Are they supposed to go away?

Hi lollipop

To me, the line is kind of streaky and I think I read that that means it may be defective? 9po is very early to test so try the first morning wee tomorrow or in a few days if you can wait. It sounds like you took precautions to make it pretty unlikely (but not impossible).

Fx for the best result for you x

Ps. I don't think it's meant to disappear. I haven't had experience of a pg test but my opk is there for ages (left one on top of the bin a week ago Blush)

That doesn't look right to me. I think it may just be dye moving up the test, especially if it's now disappeared completely, sorry Sad

9dpo is very early though so could still end up a bfp! Smile

AliceThrewTheFookingGlass · 25/10/2016 20:12

Oh I didn't know the line had disappeared. In that case I agree it could just have been the dye moving up the test. I've used all kinds of tests and a positive line has never disappeared before.

Thank you for all your help. I don't know if this makes any difference but I think I have thrush ( sorry TMI) which I have never had before in my life! Just now its occurring to me that's it a coincidence that I get thrush the very first month I TTC/possibly pregnant? There was also a tiny bit of blood today as well, maybe linked to thrush?

Could just be a coincidence, right?
