Hi Everyone...

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this but I am looking for some advice. I recently got married and me and my DH have a place of our own and both have steady jobs etc but I really would like to have a baby. Its not even coming down to just wanting one anymore, my ovaries are literally aching! However DH does not want to TTC yet as he says we are not settled enough and we have loads of time for that!

I understand where he is coming from but I suffer from Perniscious Anaemia and Folate dificiently which I have been told highly increases my chance of not being able to naturally concieve and if I was to then there is a much greater risk of having to abort due to disability.

Has anyone gone through something similar to this? I obviously will not be trying to force DH to be ready for a baby he isnt. But I cannot seem to get him or our families to understand my hormal NEED to TTC.
.

Any help would be appreciated

In normal circumstances, you need to take folic acid 3 months before ttc. It might be worth having a chat with your gp about any supplements you might need to take in advance of this journey and start from there.

The only thing you can do is talk to your dh to help him see why this is so important to you NOW (as opposed to at some point in the future).

Thanks for your advice physicskate. I attempted the chat with DH but you know what men can be like when they do not want to talk about something. I will still have a chat with thr doctors just so I am prepared. Again thanks so much!!
