I had light bleeding for for about an hour. Then two hours of heavy bleeding with extreme cramps. Now it's all light again. Pinkish in colour. I don't know what to make of it. I have been having pregnancy symptoms for about two three weeks now.

My symptoms seemed to have reduced in the last week. I don't know what to make of it. I have done a test and I thought I saw the faintest line possible. Dh didn't see a line at all. Right now I have bad taste in my mouth.

I don't know if it's worth going to my GP tomorrow. If it gets worse tonight I will have to call for help.

I also don't know if it was a miscarriage or spotting. All the pictures I have seen of sporting don't look heavy. It didn't feel like my period.

Hi, not sure what you are meaning sorry. Are you pregnant, have you had a positive pregnancy test that is now negative, or are you just saying you have had symptoms for two or three weeks now?

If you have not had a positive pregnancy test or missed a period, then surely your bleeding is just a period?

If you had a positive test in the last couple of weeks and now have a negative test, then that would suggest an early miscarriage, but there is nothing to be done medically about it, just normal paracetamol and deal with as a normal heavy period.

It would generally only be a slightly later pregnancy (more than 8 or 9 weeks) that would cause bleeding heavy enough to warrant hospital (need to be soaking through a heavy pad in less than an hour, believe me you will know there is no doubt you need hospital, having done this sort of hemorrhaging twice now! as opposed to a heavy period) and the bleeding not stopping.

GP will not really want to know unless you have had a positive pregnancy test.

Sorry can't be much more help.

Thank you for answering.

When I spoke to the GP last week she thought I pregnant and asked me to do a test when I got home. I did and it was negative. She told me to call her back when it was positive. I was waiting to do it again in about a week.

The bleeding didn't last long. Right now is almost gone. I just don't what to make of it. Something has happened. I just don't know what.

How long has it been since your last period? It could be implementation bleeding, or the start of your regular period. I would say unlikely to be an early miscarriage if you haven't had a positive test.

I should have had my period on the 19. That's four days ago.

Pms symptoms reduce a few days before the start of your period as progesterone levels drop when the body realises you arent pregnant. Sounds like you havent conceived this month and this is the start of your period.

Do you know why I would have had the symptoms? I have been pregnant before. I felt like I was pregnant. If I wasn't then it must have all been in my head.

It could have been a chemical pregnancy. Our bodies can be cruel with giving us symptoms and then discovering we're not pregnant Sad

That was truly cruel.
It must have been my period because am still bleeding.
