Help! Possible BFP then BFN??

Hi everyone, I took a first response test yesterday afternoon and I was convinced I could see a line but it was so so faint! So I took another test this morning and was convinced I could see a line. I showed my friend and she was sure it was a positive (picture below). I wasn't convinced so I took another test (clear blue) when I got home it said not pregnant. AF not due until Thursday so I know I'm testing early but advice please?? I'm confused Confused was the first one not a positive? Can anyone else see a line? It's not as clear in the photo x

Congratulations. You are totally preggers. Apparently clear blue are not very sensitive. If you've got a line (and I certainly see it in the pic) with the FRER then take that as your proof. Try the clear blue next week!!

First wee of the day. I'd wait till the weekend personally. But I'd certainly say that was a positive. X

This was my frer and I got a bfn on clear blue digital the next morning. The day after I took another clear blue digital and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant. Clear blue definitely need more hcg to pick up pregnancy. Try in a feed days and I expect you'll see a bfp. Smile

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! Don't want to tell my OH until I'm sure as I know he will be mega disappointed if it turns out to be a BFN! Xx

Hi! Fingers crossed for you Smile I'm in a similar boat, took a clear blue on Sunday night and there was a definite faint positive, dh cd see if too and he's blind as a bat!! Took a tesco test today and nothing Sad AF is due 2mo assuming I'm still a 26 day cycle but driving myself up the wall guessing every feeling /twitch is either af or an early sign. Got another tesco test but gonna wait for a couple days now, I'm going to be so sad if it's a BFN - the first test really got my hopes up xx

Misslouise why not take the test with OH. You made it together, you should find out together. I think you're pregnant so I can't see you being disappointed if you wait till the weekend for that other clear blue.

I just know how disappointed he will be if I get his hopes up thinking there was a faint line then AF comes! I would like to be able to surprise him but if I find out for definite I'm sure I will be running in to tell him! Not sure I could keep it a secret for long. X

Misslouise you need a FRER test. Those ones you're using could well be too weak. You need one that will detect very early pregnancy. There's lines on the others so for me you are pregnant.

missklouise - when a test is taken apart (as for taking a photo), it increases the likelihood of an evaporation line, so can't comment on the photos you have posted. But for the early days of pregnancy the hcg levels are so low, that it all depends on the concentration of the urine, the sensitivity of the test including the amount of dye in the individual test.

So it is easy in the very early days to get positives alternating with negatives. I hope you get a clear answer in the next few days.

I had lines like that appear on FRER when cracked open...pink evaps Confused Try another FRER but keep it in the case this time. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the support everyone! Told the OH tonight about the confusion. I'm due AF tomorrow and normally run like clockwork so will have to wait and see. I'm thinking it was an Evap line as I'm now feeling absolutely fine - no symptoms whatsoever apart from still feeling a little bloated so I'm fully expecting AF Blush x

If there's ANY colour in that second line you are pregnant. I'll eat my hat if you're not. Wink
