Is there a silent basal thermometer out there?

I would like to be subtle about taking temp to minimise pressure on DH (Also am I correct I saying that temp increases if pregnant? Sorry, I'm quite new to all of this).

There's an American one called Wink by Kindara but I don't think it's available in the U.K. (I hear it's very expensive too).

I don't think so as you wouldn't know when it was ready to read? It beeps when it's ready which can take several minutes until temp stabilises. They're very quiet anyway though, my dp doesn't wake up.

Also temp rises after ovulation, I would have a read up before deciding if it's for you. It's only good for knowing after you've ovulated (by which point it's too late to try that month) but can help you find a pattern, determine how long your lp is/when af is due. And yes it stays up in you're pg or drops down again before you get af.

Maybe opks would be more suitable for the first couple of months?

Moonlight why is it too late to dtd when egg has been released? (I thought egg survived 24 hours). I've tried opks this cycle but am I wrong in thinking that the best time to dtd is when opk is positive (24-48 before egg released)?
I think the Wink thermometer vibrates rather than beeps to indicate when it's done. I only wondered if there are others that vibrate or flash on the tip perhaps.

crazy temp rise is the day after ovulation so that's why it's too late once it's already up as you would have ovulated the day before. The egg lives about 12 hours I think. And you're right yes it's best to dtd a day/two before so the sperm are already in there waiting for the egg when it's released :)
