Has anyone done this? Just had the kit arrive today and it's making my brain hurt. Can't watch the USB stick yet as we have workmen in who know my dad so don't want them to hear it. Hoping it will make more sense when I've watched it and it's not as confusing as it looks.

I did it two years ago, and now have a gorgeous little DS! There was no usb sticks, but a potty seat thing that i thought was a hat, and many many bottles!

Good fun at the post office with your biohazard labels!

I got mine last week. Just waiting for AF to start (or hopefully not Grin!) It is a bit confusing but once you get your head round it it's all fairly straight forward Smile

I did it 4 years' ago and have my DD as a result!

It's actually quite simple to do; just admin (and pot!) heavy!

Has anyone Googled Sodium Azide? The stuff that is in the bottom of the pots? It's seriously nasty stuff when you add liquids to it; not sure it's a good idea to be around it, especially if trying to conceive? I'm going to withdraw from the trial.

You should be safe! You're not drinking it are you? Grin

Half way through mine. Very easy, just pee in a pot every morning and fill in data on two sheets. You have to start using the opk on a certain day depending on cycle length but it's in the product instructions.

I know but it turns into a noxious gas when in contact with liquid!

I've recently finished it. Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm starting it today. I was so confused as to when to start using the OPKs as it doesn't tell you in the info pack or usb. But I'll have a read of the product instructions. Thanks sk1pper.

washing - many toxic solids will react in this way but don't be put off. There is probably about 0.3grams of it in each pot, not enough to cause any harmful fumes.

hi guys im due to start this trial - what is the products u are all testing ?

Report
delilahbucket · 08/11/2016 17:22

It's not a product test *Lucy, they want your wee for testing! You do use their ovulation tests though and also pregnancy tests.

I'm on day 32 of weeing in the plastic hat and got my bfp yesterday so it's worked pretty well for me! Bit pissed off that I have to do it for another 40 days though now I'm pregnant.

aw i thought it was different products they were giving you like their ovulation sticks or monitor ?

Report
GreedyDuck · 09/11/2016 17:21

Well if you complete the study and haven't conceived they do give you an ovulation testing kit for free.

Report
delilahbucket · 09/11/2016 22:08

They do give you the ovulation monitor and pregnancy tests but that isn't the aim of the study. As pp said you get an ovulation monitor for free if you do not fall pregnant. I am waiting for mine.

lucylou1234 · 09/11/2016 22:29

ah right i get u now. so they give you the clearblue fertility monitor and you get to keep it if you dont fall pregnant ?

Report
lucylou1234 · 09/11/2016 22:33

or is the advanced one you get?

Report
delilahbucket · 11/11/2016 17:59

The one I got during the trial was just the stick where you get an empty circle then flashing smiley face then a solid smiley face at peak fertility. It measures oestrogen and lh. I don't know what you get after completing it as I haven't had it yet.

Hi, I'm due to post my first samples back today. Can anyone tell me how the intercourse event diary goes back? Is it with the samples?

I sent mine back with the samples, along with the daily diary sheets as well. I put it all in the jiffy bag, although I suspect I was meant to put the paper in one of buff envelopes. The instructions were a bit unclear. They haven't contacted me to tell me off though!

Without wishing to sound 'grabby', has anyone who participated in this and not got pregnant received further OPKs as a thank you for taking part? I returned my samples several weeks ago but I haven't received anything. I feel rude about chasing and am wondering if I was mistaken to think we would be sent more supplies?!
