Hello
So my cycles are normally 31 days long.. Been testing with OPK since Monday CD16 three times a day - all negatives until this morning when I got positive reading. Tested 3 times and test line getting darker.... We had intercourse last night. Does that mean I've missed it? Or should we do it tonight too?

Sperm can survive for a while as can eggs. I'd definitely try again for a couple of days :)

I heard somewhere you shouldn't have sex everyday as the quality of the sperm is compromised..... Old wives tale?

Certainly an old wives tale. They say every other day is good. But everyday if you can won't hurt. More swimmers in the pool meant you really do get the best.

Sperm meets the egg plan says do 3 days in a row once you get your positive. I think you're only advised not to do days in a row if there is a known issue with your partners sperm. Good luck!

Opk can be postive for up to 48 hours before ovulation. Mine are always clear positives for two days. DTD every day for the next few days unless you have been advised not to due to sperm issues.

I had a positive opk Tuesday (2 weeks ago today) but didn't ov until the Thursday (very clear by my bbt) so I'd say get another one in if you can to be sure, although like others have said the sperm will still be in there from yesterday. We dtd on the Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and I've got a BFP:). Good luck!
