Can someone talk to me about periods after/during breastfeeding?

Still bf'ing 11 mo son. For various reasons dh and I decided to ttc as soon as AF returned, which was last month.

I can find lots of information about AF returning but not what they are like when the return eg sporadic? More unreliable especially if still breastfeeding?

I'm currently 3 days late and know I'm not pregnant because I've tested and got BFN's. I tested 3 days before BFP first time around so I know I'm out.

Just wondering what to expect in terms of my cycle. I know everyone is different but I used to be like clockwork so wondering if anyone else has experienced a big change in their cycles?
