Hi new to all this trying to get pregnant with my second baby today is my fertile window are these negative OPK? Wasn't getting any lines a few days ago?

BoBo90 Tue 16-Aug-16 19:46:31

They aren't quite positive yet but almost so keep testing and dtd x

lizzy7915 Tue 16-Aug-16 19:48:37

Thank you just don't want to miss my chance xx

Lizzy your line needs to be either as dark as or darker than the test line for it to be a positive. Many women find around 2pm to be the best time to catch your surge (after holding your bladder for 4 hours if you can). But personally mine show up strongest just before bed at about 10pm. The morning isn't a good time to do opk's.

lizzy7915 Tue 16-Aug-16 20:23:48

These ones are from last night this afternoon and this evening so many I've still got a few days to wait? Xx

danigrace Tue 16-Aug-16 20:31:27

Lizzy it not a gradual increase - your surge will come out of nowhere and often disappear as quickly as it came! I'd keep doing one afternoon & one evening daily but try dtd every other day if you can anyway, especially if your showing fertile cervical mucus (watery and/or egg white like)

lizzy7915 Tue 16-Aug-16 20:34:27

Yeh I'll just keep testing as don't want to miss out and keep dtd I had like white mucus yesterday but was just a little bit xx

Did this later this evening looks a lot darker (bottom one?) X

But still not quite positive. You are lucky that you seem to get a slow build. In future cycles (if they happen) you will be able to predict how far away ov is based on increasing darkness...

danigrace Wed 17-Aug-16 09:52:41

Although mine can slow build then disappear for 2 days then surge. Just keep testing and sexing!! Here's my positive from last week so you know what you're looking for x

lizzy7915 Wed 17-Aug-16 09:59:51

Yeh I'll just keep at it fingers crossed smile X

Mine is a gradual increase. This month I had one day where the line was like your last one, then the next day where it was pretty much the same as the control but not quite and then the next day I had my proper positive where the test like was darker than the control!

Good luck!

lizzy7915 Thu 18-Aug-16 09:45:09

I've colour pretty much since Monday night so hoping later today or tomorrow it'll be as dark

lizzy7915 Fri 19-Aug-16 17:14:21

Darkest one I've got? smile

5tardusty Fri 19-Aug-16 17:19:07

Mine are like danigrace says. I've tried taking them every day from the end of AF to see if there is a pattern but there isn't it just goes extremely dark for about 48 hours then back to faint again. I think its highly unlikely you'd miss it completely if youre testing twice a day.

Do you have any EWCM as a secondary sign? Keep dtd anyway. Ovulation can very from cycle to cycle

lizzy7915 Fri 19-Aug-16 17:33:32

This is the darkest one I've had since Monday night today is my highest fertile day so I'll just keep dtd but I am positive smile

MmmMalbec Fri 19-Aug-16 18:28:58

That's still quite a way off positive. Keep testing and DTDing!

lizzy7915 Fri 19-Aug-16 18:45:33

Really I thought was quite dark is in person and is darkest I've got so I'll keep at it smile

MmmMalbec Fri 19-Aug-16 18:49:42

It is quite dark, but if you compare it to the control line it's quite a bit off being as dark as that! Hopefully you'll get your positive in the next few days!

lizzy7915 Fri 19-Aug-16 20:22:29

Fingers crossed smile

lizzy7915 Sun 21-Aug-16 15:52:37

Are any of these positive?

Writerwannabe83 Sun 21-Aug-16 16:09:04

Interpreting OPKs can be quite fun grin

This is my positive from this morning, the picture isn't the best because of poor focus but you can see the test line is darker than the control one.

lizzy7915 Sun 21-Aug-16 16:12:50

Oh defiantly it's so annoying haha today is the last day of my fertile window I've did the deed everyday today I've got cramps and a really sore back and that's the darkest I am getting so god knows shock

MmmMalbec Sun 21-Aug-16 16:22:20

No sorry, definitely not positive. How do you know it's your fertile window?

misstiggiwinkle Sun 21-Aug-16 16:23:17

Lizzi I'd say not positive yet! Some months I get a slow build like yours and other months I get faint-faint-faint-super positive-faint so it can be hard to judge. I have pcos though. You could be ovulating later than you thought this month. Keep testing until you get a can't mistake it positive and even then it can be up to 48 hrs before you actually ovulate.

Do u have other symptoms? Ewcm is the key one. You could also temp to see when u do ov. Might be useful for next month if you start recording now
