Hi ladies, so in a nutshell I have had 2 ultrasound scans which show I have pcos. However I have a regular period every single month, not overweight in the slightest or any other main symptoms of the condition.
I have been ttc baby no 2 for 2 years now with one mc in March this year.
My question is I had lots and lots of ewcm today and it's around the time of ovulation, but if I am failing to ovulate is the ewcm not a reliable sign of ovulation?
Any replies would be appreciated X

Hi Fanta, I did read somewhere that people with PCOS produce lots of EWCM throughout the cycle.

I think with PCOS you still ovulate but the eggs don't mature properly some months.

It sounds like you still get fertile months with PCOS and 2 friends of mine with PCOS conceived fairly easily.

Good luck!

Hi Fanta

Sorry to hear that it's taking you a long while ttc and of your miscarriage.

Have you had any blood tests to check your FSH, LH, testosterone etc? To be diagnosed with PCOS you normally have to have to 2 out of the 3 criteria.

www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Polycystic-ovarian-syndrome/Pages/Diagnosis.aspx

The ultrasound on its own is not diagnostic of the syndrome, rather it just shows you have polycystic ovaries, which you can have without the full blown condition.

I would ask for some blood test to check your testosterone and day 21 progesterone to check if you are actually ovulating.

Not every woman with pcos is overweight, a lot of women who have it are of a normal weight/bmi. I am one of the overweight ones lol.

Hope that's of some help.

Thank you very much for the replies ladies, I have learned some valid points. As I'm new to the pcos business i am learning everyday. I only tend to produce high volumes of cm or ewcm around the time I should be ovulating followed by minor period cramps around the same time which makes me wonder if it is true ovulation, however with only 1 pregnancy in 2 years which ended up in mc, something isn't working right :(
