Fertility Friend stressing me out. Please help!

Can anyone help please? I know the site has a thousand Q&A, but I am so confused by it. I thought it would be helpful, but it's just making my anxiety bloody sky rocket!

I've been inputting my data and yesterday it changed to saying I had ovulated on the 8th. I was thrilled as worrying that I wasn't has been a massive concern since coming off pill.

I've just entered my temp for this morning. It's still the same as it was yesterday. It still had my O date as 8th, but with a red dotted line running vertically through it. I then had a look on the detector tuning to find out why that might be. I think I must have done something to the settings there as it's now taken my O date off my chart, and saying I haven't ovulated yet?

Now I'm wondering what I've done? It's probably silly of me, but I was so happy when it changed yesterday. Now it's changed back I feel like a stressed out madwoman. Any advice would be massively welcome. Thank you :)

Hi Pesky, temp charting and apps never worked for me (but I have pcos). Are you temping at the same time every morning before you get up / talk / drink?
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon to help you out!

Thank you for the reply Danikagrace.

I do everything right except my sleep. I have terrible early morning waking. I'm normally up between 4am and 5.30am. It's torturous!

Sorry temping didn't work for you? Did you switch to another method? I had no clue it would be this stressful!

Omg that doesn't sound fun! What has you up that early? Apparently a variation in time taken can affect the accuracy of the results. Although mine looked like rocky mountains regardless haha.
How long have you been ttc? Do you have a regular cycle? I've found learning about then monitoring cervical mucous and cervical position to be the least stress inducing method for me

I just sleep really badly danikagrace I've taken meds for it in the past, but they knock me out too much! :(

Did yours really look like a rocky mountain? It's just so strange isn't it? How long did you persevere with it?

Been ttc since mid April when I came off pill. Cycle came back really fast, although periods are very light. I wish I had some CM to check! It's coming back soooooooooooo slowly after pill. I find the cervix checking really tricky myself. How do you know what is open, hard, low, high? They really should teach cervix checking in sex education classes at school! :)

Sorry - saw this in active! I remember the stress of FF when I was ttc.

In the end I bought a clear blue fertility monitor second hand and within 2 months I know my cycle inside out. I conceived on month 3.

Cheap ovulation sticks work just as well, but you have to test in the morning or mid afternoon to catch your surge, with the fertility monitor you just test once.

Good luck!

Did you change how the app assesses ov? Eg changing settings from advanced to FAM? If I try FAM it never says I've ovulated despite having had a test confirming I do.

Sometimes if you have dubious temps and get fertile cm after their ov it can change everything too.

I have awful sleep but discovered through trial and error that as long as I get 2.5 hrs in a row my temp is consistent regardless of time. It's taken a year to work this out. Generally I do temp at same time (3/4am) but I know it doesn't change so much to change my ov date if it's a different time.

I just have to work out why my temps are still high but bfn :(

Yes - they were really like mountains!! Did 2 months and stopped bc it was just stressing me out and telling me nothing and stressed is the opposite of what I want to be! Apparently that's the case for quite a few with pcos though.
Re. cervix - hard is like touching the tip of your nose, soft is like touching your lips.
