Chemical pregnancy causes

Have one ds who is nearly 3, was an accidental preg.
Had a termination a year ago, another quick conception there too.just the once without a condom.
First proper month of ttc after implanon removal (had one tiny period before this so I'm guessing it was my first actual cycle this month) and had a chemical preg
Does this mean there's something wrong? Am so paranoid that I've somehow messed myself up from having a termination and now I can't get pregnant ever again
Or is is likely just because I've not long been off implanon so my uterus lining is still crap?
I'm really worried I feel like I've fucked up my fertility or something having am abortion and now I've broken myself

Sorry if the termination bit upsets anyone I know this is a ttc board I just realised that it might be a bit insensitive to post about that here sorry. Was the only real option at the time

Sorry about the CP. I've read that in the very early stages the chance of a CP rather than successful implantation is over 30%. So I think it's just one of those things, unfortunately.

Please don't apologise for mentioning the termination. Everyone has their own history and it's unrelated to your current TTC situation, which is the reason you're on this board. Hopefully noone will post anything unkind and unhelpful.
It's thought chemical pregnancies are very common but as they happen so early that many women don't realise they're pregnant and assume it's a late period.
After one of two mcs you're just as likely to have a sucessful pregnancy as someone trying for the first time.
Recurrent miscarriage is counted from 3.
I've had 3 and no reason was ever found, but I now have a lovely 7 month old daughter, so there's hope.

Interestingly I also had an early MC after coming off implanon. Had a break of a month before TTCing again, and then fell pregnant with twins who are now nearly 3.

Hello,
Sorry to hear about your CP. I have heard that part of how implanon works is by thinning your uterus lining to stop the egg from implanting. As a result, it can take a little while after coming off it for the lining to get back to normal levels and I think this can make cps more common in that time as egg might not be able to implant (which I think is why doctors sometimes recommend 3 months before ttc). Your body just probably needs a little while to get back to normal cycles, I'm sure it will be fine :)
