Coming off depo-provera jag

Hello! Just wondering if anyone had experience of coming off the depo contraceptive injection? My last one was Nov 2015 and nothing has returned to normal I know everyone can be different and it's a waiting game but it's hard trying to work out ovulation etc when everything has still stopped! I visited my doc last week to discuss and she said that ovulation can still happen even though there is no Mrs Monthly!! Thanks
