Hi Billy- I took wobenzyme and I believe Snoopy did as well.

Snoopy- I'm well, Ta! 26 weeks now and can't believe how much movement there is! Often see my belly jiggling on it's own when I'm sitting which is so cool. Up 22lbs already though so have been focusing on healthy eating and getting my walking in- so far so good! Tomorrow's the big day for you!! Can't wait to hear how the next week goes for you :-) xx

drttc that's brilliant! It's weird isn't it haha I wouldn't worry about the weight, I've put on loads too but there's always time to lose it later. I think a lot of mine is water weight, I'm twice the size in the evening that I am when I wake up.

drttc and snoopy are you continuing taking wobenzyme through pregnancy and at what dose?
I was taking it before but now stopped and got nervous about it!

billy I think I took it up until about 24 weeks but I had dropped down to about half the dose by then. I think it became a cost thing for me, it gets great reviews but it's quite expensive!

It's true drttc, it seems like time has flown for you but I'm sure that's not how it felt for you

Hi Sunny, hope you and bubs are ok. I'm not worried about induction as such, I just don't see why my consultant wants to do it. I can understand if there's a medical reason or I go over due date but she hasn't given any clear reason why.

Hi Sunny! Why were you induced? How did you find the birth experience?

Seeking- my due date is August 14th! Exactly 3 months from today. What's yours? Properly buried in childbirth/mothering books at the moment. Knowledge is the way I cope! Just did a little hypno-birthing trial and in a bit of a hazy stupor atm too hehe

Billy- I think I stopped just before 2nd trimester as I was finding it SO hard to stomach pills with all the nausea I had. I was on 3-6 pills a day from preconception (about a month before) til then.

Snoopy- I don't think anything felt as long as that first 2-2.5 months! This last month had actually been quite nice as I've had minimum discomfort and lots of movement. Getting accustomed to this whole pregnancy thing haha! It must feel so odd to be at you're due date finally... But so so lovely, exciting, scary, and surreal all at the same time :)

I was indued because I had gestation diabetics and they were predicting a big baby! I had the 24hr pessary, then2 lots of 6 hour gels before my waters finally broke on their own, however at my hospital if I was dilated enough they would have broke them for me, but I was quite glad they broke naturally. Had no contractions with them so went one the drip (syntocin I think) which to be honest was ok as they start if off slowly and ramp it up, but you do have to be continually monitored. In the ende had a heart rate thing out in the baby's head so I didn't have to keep wearing the band around my stomach. After about10-12 hours on the drip it was quite painful, but I obviously have nothing to compare it too, I didn't have an epidural until about 16 hours after the drip started, just had gas and air. In then en just hasn't progressed enough in the 24hrs after my waters broke plus the consultant thought I had been on then rip long enough so they decided a c section was the best way forwad. It was fine, and much better than I thought it would be. In fact if I do have another baby I'm going to opt for a c section. For me the downside of the induction was the time it took, I went to hospital at 9am on Thursday and had toby at 10.30am on Sunday, I obviously wasn't in labour all that time, but I was fed up after a day or so of hanging about! I wasn't allowed to go home as I was deemed high risk due to the diabetes.

Ones ther thing I would say, is try to keep an open mind about the labour process, I was adamant I wanted to be standing or on a gym ball but ironically the most comfortable place for me was on my side on the bed! My birthing plan had very little on it, the number1 thing was that toby arrived safely, whatever it took.

So good to hear all these babies are on their way, I remember a year or so back when we were all just waiting to get pregnant, and now we are in the process of actually having a baby!

I'm doing ok, he is 16 weeks today and finally feel that it's coming together, I don't want to use the word easier, because it's not easier, but I feel like I know what he wants when he wants it and we are starting to get a btpit of a routine (baby whisperer has been my bible!). Nights are pretty good, but he does struggle to sleep for more than 45 mins at a time during the day which can be fustrating when you are trying to get stuff done!

Four days in hospital does not sound fun. I'm glad it's getting a bit cooler because my hospital is a bit old and doesn't have air conditioning haha

Drttc - wow 26weeks, that seems to have flown by. I remember well the squirmy baby feeling (actually recorded it on my phone and was fun to recently play it to ds who thought it was amazing!).

Tumtimes - hope you win your fight for the clexane, follow your instinct (which is usually right) and keep fighting for it.

Billy - i m keeping everything crossed for you. You really deserve this to be your take home baby.

Oh and hi Sunny, glad to hear you re settling into a routine with toby. I think boys are worse nappers. Ds never slept more that 45 mins, so it was just 3x 45 then 2x45 then 1x 45 then no naps by two ! Sorry that might not have been what you wanted to hear. At least if he s good at night you re not needing the daytime naps too !

Snoopy - they were predicting about 9.5lb, but what I tubs strange us two if my friends ;neither had gestational diabetes) had 9lb babies, we're not induced and delivered naturally. The hospital only induced ne as I had regular scans where they kept track of growth! He came out at 8lb 11 4 days early!

Thanks hula, I e been getting quite stressed around naps but think I just need to go with it and he will sort himself out eventually.

Sunny, thanks for sharing your experience. Think we just need to remember that everyone is different, we'll all have different experiences. As long as babies arrive safely, that's all that matters. Glad your finally finding a rhythm with Toby. Must be so daunting!

She's here! My waters broke in bed at 3am and she arrived by 1pm. Very quick, slightly traumatic birth but baby Meredith is safe and sound and weighed in at 7lbs 8ozs.

If I have another I'm having an epidural

tumtimes I think it's for the immune system and there's been a trial that's it's good for immune issues in pregnancy - not sure why it's not been recommended by dr S tho.
