Hi all ,
I have started temping this month however i think my reaults are not accurate since i temd to wake up during the early hours either to go to the bathroom or because i am feeling hot etc . I usually take my temp at 6 when my alarm goes off but i might already be woken up by 5 or already woken up at 4 to go to the bathrooom . Is there any point of tracking when my sleep patrern is not consistend ?
I am expecting to ovulate today got positive peak opk yeaterday and had ewcm for the last 3 days . My temperature this morning at 6 however didnt indicate that . I was awake from 5 but didnt get up .
Now i am bot worried that i dont actually ovulate

Hi Nicky I am no expert so hopefully someone better versed will come along soon but I asked a similar question recently as I am still getting up in the night for my 16mo. Someone told me on that thread that as long as you have been asleep for 3 hours prior to taking temp it should be accurate so I guess getting up at 5 then taking temp at 6 could well skew your results. Hope someone more knowledgeable is along soon!

Thanks penguin ! Thats what i thought ! I am just acared that i might not be ovulating given the results of my temps

After ov the TREND of results should be higher temps than pre-ov. If you wake at 5 for the loo, take your temp then. The pattern emerges after a few cycles... so give it time. It is not a short term fix. If you have only just ov'd the temp should trend upwards over the coming days. Successful ov can happen up to 72 hours after a positive opk.

I had right pelvic pain today so i think i must have ovulated today . From what you are saying I should expect rise in temparatures tomorow . Lets see ! I dont wake up every day at 5 i might wake up at 4 for example ! ( small bladder issues ) !!
