How can I move past this odd fear?

So DH and I have decided to TTC. It's taken us some time to get to this point as we've been seeing medical professionals about some possible health issues. The thing is... I've come off the pill, started taking folic acid, cut down on alcohol and upped my fruit and veg intake. But the idea of actually DTD without any contraception (we've used condoms since I stopped the pill) makes me feel anxious, and I'm worried that 'in the moment' I'm just not going to be able to go through with it. I think this is because of two things - 1) I've spent the last 15 years or so trying to avoid getting pregnant and 2) whilst we've decided to TTC, I'm still anxious about health issues even though DH and I have talked them through at length and have got all the information we possibly can, and are supported in this by the doctors we've seen.

I'd be grateful for any words of wisdom - it seems an odd thing to be stressed about, but there it is.

I'd say you need longer to think about your choice, it sounds like you just aren't sure. Don't feel pressured or rushed, take some more time to think and be sure this is absolutely what you want.
