Is this positive?!

My boyfriend and I have tested a day before my period is due but we believe we can see a faint line, very faint line that we had to get a clear blue test but that has also come out faint. We aren't going crazy are we? Does that actually mean we are expecting?!

I can see a shadow of a line on the second but blue dye tests are notoriously bad for evaporation lines. Get a pink dye test (first response or superdrug own brand) and test again.

But what does this mean? Am I pregnant?!

Retest in the morning with a super drug own brand test. The paper inside the tests are pink and the lines show up better x and you should get a more definable answer

It means you need to text again tomorrow in fmu to be sure!
I can see faint lines. Hope it's good news!

Test, not text!

Would you say this looks promising or is it still unknown?

Did you see the line within the test time (usually ten minutes) or later? If it appeared quickly is say it is very promising Smile

They both were like that within 5 minutes... did a test two days ago and there was nothing but today there's been a faint line on both tests and for us having tried for 4 months this is something...

Have you tested again this morning? Hoping it a clearer positive for you. X

I have literally just done another and it's done the exact same thing... surely three times means something?

Definitely sounds like a positive. I think other posters recommending a pink dye test to help give a definitive answer is that sometimes the blue dye tests can be a bit ambiguous as an evaporation line can look blue. Whereas the pink due is so much clearer. But appreciate you won't want to spend any more money on tests.

Home Bargains sell 2 pink dye tests for less than £1 - I got a clear positive with one 4 days before my period was due!

This is what I got this morning. When I woke up this morning I had a bit of cramping and feeling sick, today is when my period should be due.

I can't see a line. Try a Superdrug own brand one. They have pink dye and show up much more clearly.

I can only see a shadow. You either need to wait a couple of days and use another blue dye which should give a definite answer. Or like others have said go and buy a pink dye test which will give you a definite answer right away.

Blue dye tests are well known for showing shadows (evaporation lines) and giving hope when they are actually negative.

I know you are desperate to know but people can't give you an answer from those pictures. Go and get a first response test for an immediate answer! Good luck Smile

I know very much about the evaporating line but we did tests three days before that show no line at all same with the 4 months we tried before we are really unsure...

I think I can see a very faint line on that last photo! It does seem promising. But try not to get your hopes up too much just in case it is an evap. Like others have said, wait 2 days and try again, or do another one today with a pink dye early response such as First Response or Superdrug. Fingers crossed for you! :)

Failing that, a clearblue digital will tell you a straight yes or no!

I saw lines in 2 of them. With both of mine I had cheap internet ones where I saw very feint lines and then did a digi clear blue day b4 period and it's much easie than 2nd guessing

So we did a first response and get the same but just a little darker. We are taking this as a positive and not telling family and friends until we have that clear positive! Thank you for the recommendation!

I can definitely see it on that one! Fingers crossed that line gets nice and dark in a few days :) Tentative congratulations!
