I thought I would start a new thread as all of the others on this subject are old. I am about to start month 4 and would love to hear some success stories!

One question... my doctor is only taking blood tests on day 21 and day 24 - should there be any other sort of monitoring given that its not yet worked? would be really useful to hear other peoples experiences....

Hello. I have no experience on clomid but I'm about to start it as soon as Aunt Flo shows her face. I have unexplained fertility, progesterone levels are 30 (borderline). I've been told to go t my consultant on day 10/11 to monitor but don't know anything else past that. Good luck Kiwi Grin

Hi, this is my first month on clomid. I'm on day 10 on my cycle & was told today at my scan that I have 1 dominant follicle that is 13mm & my lining is 7.2mm, I was told i'll likely ovulate between Monday & Wednesday. Hoping those numbers are ok & I will actually ov & be able to sustain a pregnancy? They scanned me on day 2 & day 10 and that's it now, no more scans, just me & the clomid!

Surrey did the bloods confirm you ov'd on the previous 3 cycles of clomid?

Village how thick does your lining have to be? Clomid thinnens it doesn't it?

Report
VillageFete · 23/04/2016 11:24

broody Yes I believe it does thin your lining. Looking online, it is suggesting 7.2mm is a little low, numbers above 8mm are better. The 2 nurses I spoke to however, say anything over 6mm is fine? Fine's not good enough really, I need facts & stats, as if my lining isn't thick enough to sustain a pregnancy then what's the point in clomid?! I need to see if there's any supplements I can take, or maybe a few goes of acupuncture. Or maybe i'm worrying for nothing & 7.2mm is fine?

I have not had my blood test results as the hospital lost my day 21, so I actually have no idea if this is working or not - only by the pee on the stick tests which say that I am fertile around day 17!

The hospital is v busy and tough to get appt's - are there other places that you can get tested etc to see if its working... a bit lost and not getting much insight from the doc

Hi I'm also at Frimley, are you under Mr Riddle?

I'm on my third cycle of clomid AF due in 5 days. After 2.5 yrs of TTC I'm expecting the witch to arrive.

1st month of clomid was horrendous, never known mood swings like it! Last 2 haven't been too bad. Interestingly my bloods were also lost last month!! I'm waiting for his secretary to call tomorrow once he's looked at my results and let me know if it's working of if they need to up my dose from 50mg.

Baby dust for you all c

I'm on cd#11 and it's been the longest 11 days ever. I was supposed to have folicale check ultrasounds, but again I've been fobbed off and feel really on my own with alloyds this. I've got my 21 blood tests, but day 21 falls on Sunday so I'm going to have to have them done the day after.

Ive been temping and it's all over the place, thinking of giving it up as a bad idea. Also started opks but I've been told that they're not the most reliable with PCOS. I just feel very gloomy and not very positive about it working tbh Sad

Yes mrs I've had follicle tracking, I had 1 follicle at 18mm on cd13 and then ovulated on CD18. Over 30 is good but I thought with clomid they would have increased significantly not just by 2. I'm gonna ask if he'll up the dose tomorrow but cos I'm unexplained infertility it's like p**ng in the wind x

Hi Everyone - how are you all going? On month 5 of Clomid and according to tests am still not ovulating. Dr Riddle has doubled the doseage, but I am also doing reflexology with interesting results... I took the reflexologist our initial test results and husbands sperm tests are v low - apparently below guidelines so I would not get pregnant anyway! very frustrating after 5 months on chlomid.

May be something for everyone to check or get a second opinion on if its not happening.

p.s reflexology, even if it is all rubbish, is v relaxing!
