Been desperate for kids for over two decades.
Here's hoping this time of putting my foot down and mumsnet will be better luck for me than last time I tried this (8 years and a different man ago)

Just wanted to send a few happy thoughts out there to folks like me who just want to cry.

My random happy thought: There's always something to be thankful for. (even if it's just that bottle of beech leaf gin I stashed away last year.)

Oh lor' far too chirpy. I deserve a slap.

Lots of love and hugs to you Tyburn Husband and I have only recently started trying to conceive but I've already shed plenty of tears over it.

I think you're right though, there is always something to be thankful for and if you can focus on that it's sure to do you good! (I console myself when AF arrives with wine, chocolate and coffee!)

Wishing you lots and lots of luck - fingers and toes crossed for you xx

Hi, I'm 36 also and always known I wanted a family but my previous partner was adamant he didn't so I left him when I turned 32 and my biological clock began to tick louder.

I've been with my current partner for two years and we recently started to try for a baby. It was a roller coaster ride, I guess I somehow assumed that it would happen instantly (naive!) and was so gutted each time I got my af. It's quite a journey but after shedding some tears I realised how lucky I was to be with a partner who wanted all the same things as me and with whom I wanted to share the experience. That in itself is something I never thought I'd ever have (and something that some of my friends still do not have).

I decided to use the time ttc to really take care of myself. I've totally changed my diet, added supplements and quit bad habits. I started to feel really great and then suddenly When I wasn't expecting it, I got my bfp!

Good luck with your journey. I know it's difficult at times but I'm sure good things will happen for you.

You are indeed lucky on the man front twinkle, my man has never wanted children and is only trying because I asked :D

Hello Tyburn. I've been trying for 10 months now and it's really starting to get to me when everyone else around me falls pregnant so quickly. Im never hopeful every month or test early or symptom spot etc but this month my hopes are up cos I had a hycosy test this month and apparently they flush u out. I've never cried so far but af shows up this month I definitely will....have u had any tests done?.
