I have a Mirena coil, I can't possibly be pregnant can I?

I know, I know, go and POAS! But it seems so unlikely that I'm reluctant to - the Mirena's supposed to be as effective as sterilisation isn't it?

But I'm having all the same symptoms I had in early pregnancy with my first two - nausea and dizziness, bad skin (a massive breakout of the kind I hadn't seen since pregnant with DD was what made me POAS and discover I was pregnant with DS!), and alternating between a massive, insatiable appetite and feeling like I can't be bothered to eat at all.

Periods are no help as I haven't had one since before DS and he's nearly two - which surely makes it even less likely that I could be. But I do remember a few weeks ago before we had sex noticing egg-whitey mucus and smiling remembering the times that would make me pounce on DH and hope like hell we'd get lucky.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I was - well not for me, DH would be gutted - but I thought we were done. Surely I'm just being paranoid?!

I have had 3 pregnancy scares on mirena. Mirena tricks the body into thinking its pregnant, you likely aren't BUT many have got pregnant on it as I discovered when I also thought I might be. I'm getting mine removed tomorrow

Bugger...well, congratulations for you of course, but a potential bugger for me!

Fingers crossed it's just out-of-control hormones.
