Where the heck is my cervix??

I'm TTC and am using ovia to track my cycle. One of the things it wants to input is height, softness and openness of my cervix. I can't find the bloody thing! I use my middle finger and it goes and goes until I've run out of finger! (Sorry, TMI!) is mine just abnormally high or am I going past it? I've had smears done before and the nurse has never had trouble finding it. Please tell me it's not just me!

I don't believe it's possible to go past it! Could be that you're ovulating at he moment so it is very high.

You've probably got a high or tilted cervix. I can't reach mine either Confused

Yes mine tilts towards my back, if I crouch and reach up as high as I can and then 'bear down' I can just about feel the opening.

You can try either lying down flat and tipping your pelvis forward by either putting a pillow or your fist under your hips. Or standing with one leg raised up, ie on toilet seat, and crouch a little. It's often easier to use two fingers rather than one (use a little lube if it's uncomfy til you get used to it. it can be quite a long way back, as previous poster said it depends what point of cycle you are at.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on cd11 but haven't been able to feel it for several day and I've never felt the need before TTC so it's probably always been like that Smile

You can't go past it. Best position to find it in IME is squatting.

Thanks :) I think I tracked it down finally! Struggling to work out if it's open or not though but at least I know where to find it now!
