Copper coil and conception

Hi all,

I am new to the site but i was hoping to ask other women a question. I had the copper coil removed in July just before my wedding. My husband and myself (obviously!) have been trying like crazy people since to full pregnant (that would me not him 😉). This has as yet not happened. My periods are horrifically irregular, they can be anything from 20-36 day long cycles. I have been told that this could be due to the copper coil, has anyone else experienced this? Also as the cycles can be so short I do not know if I am even ovulating. I am having regular acupuncture twice a month. To top it off this month I have had every pregnancy symptom going, sickness tender breasts, headaches, etc. but I saw my doctor today who assured me that I was definitely NOT pregnant. This resulted in a crying fit especially as the doctor herself was pregnant. I truly have gone crazy, right?

I don't know what else to do. It is driving me and my poor husband mental. I feel like it is all I think about or want and it is putting strain on my relationship with my husband.

I would love to hear from anyone else who has experienced the same thing so I don't feel like a freak.
