TTC with a cold..?

This is possibly a ridiculous question but we are new to the whole TTC rollercoaster and a bit on the anxious side.

I have a fertile window coming up this weekend and both DH and I have come down with colds. Would
our shot-at immune systems and general run-down-ness be any cause for concern on the off chance that we did manage to conceive? Basically I suppose I'm asking is it still safe to TTC when under the weather?

I've been surprised how much I DIDN'T know about the dos and don'ts of this TTC-ing malarkey and I think I've just lost confidence in my own limited common sense, if you know what I mean!

Absolutely fine to TTC in fact there's a school of thought that the increased mucous that comes with a cold isn't limited to your nose and could actually aid conception

... And there's something else I didn't know! Thank you for the advice Grin

I really recommend the book 'Expecting Better' to swot up on the dos and donts whilst TTC (&once you get your BFP !)

My poor dp has a rotten cold at the minute and we think I'm ovulating. Bless him he did his manly duty anyway and it nearly killed him! I'm very proud of him right now! Glad to hear it doesn't effect conception after his sheer dedication to the cause.
