I'm a little confused as to what happens when you come off the pill as I know you get a withdrawal bleed but is that the normal bleed you have when you normally stop the pill for the one week break?

So if I stop taking my pill tomorrow, i would normally Come on my period On Friday for five days. Would that be counted as the withdrawal bleed or will I bleed again after that if I don't start taking my pill?

Hi Radders!
Everyone is different and you may find that the withdrawal bleed you have when stopping the pill is will be as normal and then in a month you'll have another which would be your first real period.

It is fairly common (see the other boards on this topic) for it to take several months for your cycle to settle after coming off the pill. If this lasts longer than 6 months then go and see your GP.

With me, I stopped my pill at the end of a packet in October and straight away went into a fairly regular rhythm. It still isn't completely regular though and this month I got excited thinking I was late because I was pregnant but in fact AF was just a few days late.

Good luck, stay patient and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
