So, I'm not TTC, but since getting suitably drunk with DH about three days post AF, we dtd without any protection but, ahem, 'pulled out'. Anyhow, a week ish later I had cramps which felt like menstrual cramps, but obviously weren't. They lasted all afternoon and disappeared after a nice warm bath in the evening. This isn't something which has happened to me before, although AF has been getting more painful since finishing BF my youngest. My worry is the cramping could be egg implanting? Sorry I've been a bit long winded here and I know the chances are v v slim but I'm really worried, do others have this 'pain'? It was only a few days ago so can't POAS. Plus there'll be Christmas drinking to think about.

How long was AF and how long is your cycle usually? If af is short then pains 10 later could be ov or, if longer, you could have ov'd around the time you dtd and the feelings could be implantation. Only sure way to know is to wait and poas if af is late.

af was 5 days, cycle normally around 28 days. I'm just going to have to wait aren't i? I'll try and forget about it but will not drink quite so much just in case. I'm sure I'm just worrying over nothing, it's just I've never had these pains before

Ok so, if you have an 'average' length cycle and Lutinising Phase (14 days between ov and af), you would ov around cd14. You dtd cd8 and sperm can live up to 5 days in ideal conditions. You possibly ov'd around cd14 so, by then, any sperm would be on their 'lady legs' so to speak. I think it's unlikely but, as you say, it's a case of having to wait a bit longer xx
