Hi all
We decided to start trying in November for #1 and as my last cycle was only 23 days, we must've missed November. So, I'm counting December as cycle #1. So we started trying and now I'm on cd30. I was convinced AF was going to arrive last Monday as I started having cramps. They've lasted constantly (which is unusual for me) for the last week and no AF. I took a test on Saturday and it was completely negative, nothing my to see there, however it was a tesco one which is probably not the best to use. I used the ovulation tests starting from cd10 but ran out as they all showed up negative, so it may be that i ovulated late this month. However, I did feel some cramping on 30th November and could've ovulated then which means I'm now 14 days po.
The problem is, it's my birthday on Friday and I have the girls coming round for a girly night (usually with lots of drinking). So I need to know by then. There is no way on earth I can keep it a secret from them if I am and not drinking, but also if AF hasn't arrived and I take another test Friday morning (which is the current plan) and it comes up negative, then I'm left in limbo! I personally feel that maybe I am. But are we lucky enough to have conceived in my first cycle? Ive been having headaches and been really bloated the last week and a half.
I'm so confused and spent the whole weekend convinced that I am. But I want proof!

I hope it's good news for you on Friday! I have just started ttc baby #3 but no luck this month!

Oh I feel for you! The wait is agonising isn't it! I'm also cycle 1 but longer to wait than you as next AF not due til 3rd Jan.

If I was you, I would do the test Friday as planned and maybe use a clear blue or other sensitive brand. If still BFN then go ahead and enjoy your birthday. No sense in missing out on the fun for bloody AF to arrive the next day! My fingers are crossed for you! Let us know how you get on :)

Thanks Zeeka and Nashley. FX for you. At least you can enjoy Christmas and New Year in style Nashley Wink
I came off the pill in August time and although I've had an AF every month since, I can only remember back to when my October AF was and so trying to track roughly how long my cycles are which is driving me crazy. I think I need to chill out and see what the rest of the week brings.
I'll definitely try a more sensitive one on Friday Smile
