I would love a bfp in January. I'm due af in 12 days and the only surprise I'll get this month is when she arrives. No chance of a bfp as had HyCoSy this week so no ttc for us since last appearance of af.

Am hoping the anecdotal evidence is correct and the flush through my pipes has the effect of making me more fertile and giving me my longed for bfp in January which will be our 17th cycle!!

Hi ladies. I'm pretty sure this is the bus for me. AF started this morning. I stopped the pill in July. 1st cycle was 98 days, this cycle was 52. So it's going in the right direction but I can't see the next one being here in time for the December bus!

Hope the HyCoSy does the trick for you remember!

Hope being the thread started is lucky for you kimbok x

I know how u feel kimbo, my parents really want a grandchild off me. My brothers girlfriend has got their first grandchild and it's really hard. I think she'll end up pulling another stunt and getting pregnant before I do which will put the icing on the cake Sad

I only drink maybe once a week but I'm not going that far to keep off the alcohol not just yet. I've been trying for nearly 7 month now. Af hasn't came yet still just brown discharge so I have no idea what's going on but it's probably just af trying to make an appearance. It's really hard when other people get pregnant so easily especially when u see people with kids who can't look after them!

Yeah I've cut the alcohol down a lot, it's ever once every couple of weeks now. And it's only when im on my period or just came off never in the middle when I could be ovulating. And I do get on with them but I think he's girlfriends just weird. She's 19 and baby mad though she can't be bothered to look after my nephew. It's just more then fact she's getting pregnant before I do and I guess I'm just paranoid that when I do eventually get pregnant my mam and dad won't be excited as much as they already have grand children off my brother. The wait goes on.. Sad

Hi ladies, HyCoSy is a scan where they check you don't have any blockages in your Fallopian tubes by flushing them with saline then a dye while doing an internal USS and videoing the progress of the dye to watch it through the tubes and out past the ovaries.

Hi all, I'm in if that's ok. After 4 years of trying, I FINALLY got pregnant with our first child in April. Sadly, she was stillborn 4 weeks ago. That's a thread all of it's own. We had practically given up before the bfp and had agreed to try one cycle of ivf before adopting. This time we have agreed to 6 months of trying before we adopt. So here I am, this is it for us really.
I'm just starting to get the spotting that usually comes before my period so I'm hoping to get my first period out of the way and then get cracking. I fear I'm in for a long wait so company is very welcome

Oh wellthatdidntgotoplan I am so, so sorry to hear about your daughter. There are no words really. Flowers

I'm early 30s, TTC#2, cycle 3. I got pregnant first cycle with #1 so it's been bit of a reality check having two failed cycles. I'm beginning to realise how amazingly lucky I was first time round. Still, at least I can enjoy all the Xmas food and booze this month. A lot of people around me are pregnant so I'm trying to enjoy their pregnancies while I impatiently wait for mine.

I'm on CD1 today, usually Ov between CD17 and CD21 so I'll be here for a while...

Room for another?

I'm on CD1 today so pretty down - was very hopeful this month Sad I'm TTC #1 and going into cycle #10 now so just starting to get a bit worried.

wellthatdidntgotoplan I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. What an awful thing to go through xx

Here's to all our 2016 bfps! xx

I'm with right here with you, soda. SadHow long are your cycles usually? Are you using OPKS? I'm still finding my way with them, not sure if they're just confusing matters though!

Report
Sodasoda · 04/12/2015 17:10

I'm using everything mama! I'm temping and using OPKs. Cycles vary - 28-33 days depending on when I ovulate. I have a 14 day luteal phase. Last month I ovulated day 19 which was the latest ever so it was my longest cycle.

Report
mamaneedsamojito · 04/12/2015 17:54

We sound very similar soda. I think my LP is 14 days too. Not sure if today is CD1 or whether I should count it as spotting - there is red but it's more streaked through CM rather than full on AF. It'll kick in properly tomorrow. I'm not temping but the OPKS suggest everything was timed well last month. Just wasn't meant to be, I guess.

Is anyone doing anything to cheer themselves up tonight? Me and AF are having a very hot bath, a very cold beer, and a very tasty Jamie Oliver spaghetti carbonara (my favourite meal). Smile

I'll hop on board if there's room please. AF arrived today so off the Dec bus. I'm going to head into town for a bit of retail therapy tomorrow mamaneeds! Really sorry to hear your heartbreaking news wellthatdidnt; I can't even begin to imagine what you must have been through. I really hope that January brings you some great news. Think I might try and lose a few pounds this cycle - although maybe not with it being Christmas nibbles season!

Sodasoda · 05/12/2015 00:11

I did some retail therapy at lunch time today mama! I haven't bought clothes for ages because I kept thinking I might be needing maternity clothes soon Sad So decided to treat myself. Also had a number of glasses of red wine tonight which was very nice!

Well my spotting seems to have given up and gone away for a while so it looks like I might be waiting even longer than I thought - grrr! Did have a few drinks at a Christmas party last night which was a small consolation

Not enjoying this TTC business at all. I was so lucky first time around and DD was a very big, happy surprise after one drunken shag on our honeymoon. I could not believe I was PG!

Good luck to everyone and happy BDing.

Wellthatsdidnt - I am so incredibly sorry to hear your news. I have everything crossed for you especially.

I did the same soda, bought DS new clothes, wellies and a toothbrush (which he was strangely delighted with)

bindi I got PG first cycle last time so am finding it quite hard to be disappointed each month. I only on cycle 3 but it feels like forever. It's quite comforting to see someone in a similar position because it makes me feel like it's ok to struggle more with TTC #2.
