Caught out by early peak on CBFM?

Can the CBFM give you a false peak? I normally ovulate late, around CD24 -28. Today is CD17 and I just got a peak on my CBFM. We have not been trying and were going to start this week. I only got my first High yesterday.

I am not even sure I understand the peak in relation to when I ovulate. If I try tonight and then tomorrow night is that enough or do we normally ovulate after the peak. I know its ideal to try every other day which is what we normally do in the run up to ovulation. This is my last chance TTC naturally before we go for IVF and I was really hoping to get my BD patterns right! Thank you for any advice!
