When to expect period - Provera

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

With me it took 14 days both times! I was not a happy bunny but it did work eventually

I've taken progesterone pills around 5-6 times to induce bleeds as I don't have cycles or periods. Each time it's arrived exactly 6 days after I've taken the final pill, so I have 5 days of nothing and it arrives on the 6th day, like clockwork.

Hope this helps. x

Helpful thread - I'm waiting for my Provera prescription to arrive. So after waiting I can expect more waiting. Who'd have thought it!

TMI: just went to the toilet and there's brown blood, do I count this as day 1?

I've taken it WAY too many times. It always takes 4 days for AF to arrive after the last tablet for me!

Report
RoseBud2015 · 06/10/2015 19:15

You only count it as day 1 when you have enough red blood to need a pad or tampon. I think you will start AF properly tomorrow x

Another good question Ella SmileWhen I started Clomid I was told the second day of 'full flow', but not sure if it's the same with Provera. No doubt someone else will be along shortly with the answer. Good luck with the Clomid and do come and join us on the Bumsnet bus if you fancy it Smile

Thanks again!

I guess I'll see what happens in the morning and give the clinic a call.

Started yesterday evening and counting today as day 1. Tomorrow I start 5 days of Clomid. Wish me luck!

Good luck! We conceived DD on Clomid 3 years ago so I'm praying it goes as well this time. I phoned the clinic and they told me to count today as day one and I've booked my follicle tracking.

Hoping this is a lucky thread.....

Took my first one last night too! No side effects so far, I don't remember having any last time though so hopefully won't feel too bad. Have you booked your scans?
